Very touching final..i watched the announcement of the winner on ****, very very touching...especially when LEE hugged Crystal and told her "i love you", i cried. I am yet to watch the complete final though because my cable service provider airs Thursdays and Fridays, we're like 6hrs ahead. Of course he had pitch problems!! He was CRYING! I'm so happy Lee won, although I didn't think he would. Crystal has a better voice but will make it on her own. Lee's a great person and needs this to boost his confidence.

Once I saw Wednesday night American Idol results, I was so mad that Lee won, but instead my decision was that Chrystal Bowersox supposed to win, because she has a really good voice and she was doing a really great job on singing and the judges were saying "Keep up the good work and your doing a great job". Hows this possible? Now, I have realized that this show is definetly messed up, but look at it every year on American Idol your going to chose a male singer. This is not fair. Hope someone out there also voted for Chrystal not Lee, was probably mad too. So, in this situation next year on American Idol there should me a female idol that should win, because it has been a while not chosing a femal idol to be chosen to win, so next year I say a female idol to win this time. Let one of the female of next year get a chance to win, not a male idol. For me, I say if you are going to chose a male idol next year on this show, then Im not watching American Idol at all, because of what happened on Wednesday night show, which is all messed up and the votes were wrong by the way. Chrystal had a great voice and she supposed to win this year. So, Lee good luck on this year career.

This is total injustice. America what is going on with you guys. I know crystal is a mama. But u cant deny how talented she is. And she's not that old. Lee is a great singer but he let go all of her chances. He chocked. If he had at least one great perfomance last night I could still accept it. But he let go his big chances. This has now become a popularity show, not a talent show anymore. America, think twice.

So happy with the outcome. I love both Lee and Crystal. They will both go far in the music world. I voted for Lee. It was a very touching finale. Lee is an amazing performer with a great voice. The duet that Crystal and Lee performed was one that I will always remember. They should record it. I heard so much about so pitch problems with both of them, but think about how stressful this whole experience is. Good luck to them both. They are very special.

I live in South Africa and we only get the show on the sunday after the shows airs on a tuesday and wednsday in the Us. besides the finals which were shown at 2 in the morning (we are ahead of the us by almost 6 hours) I picked my winners from the top 24 already and it was Crystal and Lee, wish Crystal would have won, but happy that lee did.
Crystal is going to make it on her own anyway, I think Lee is going to make an awesome album and only hope that it will be out here in South Africa!!!! Crystal and Lee - you guys rock!!! so glad that two rockers like you guys made it to the end!!!!!

Knew it all along! Go Lee! You are amazing! Such a wonderful personality and you CAN sing! Crystal Bowersox brings something new to the table wonderfully too. I wish her the best with her career. jazzy....Not an injustice at all. We havent heard singing like his in a long time. Time for hip hop to take a back seat for a while and bring back some good ol' Lynard Skynard type music. I loved him in Simple Man. Chill bumps. I'm sorry but Lee is wonderful all around. It just wanst Crystal's time. She will get hers trust me. We havent heard the last of her. He probably won within like just a few votes. They both are good and will go far! Lee was not only very good but he was so humble, kind and sweet all during the show. I could go on and on. I don't get the whold injustice thing. What is going on with America? What has always been going on with America I guess we forget that some how Taylor Hicks, Katherine Mcphee, and Elliot Yamin were better than Chris Daughtry? Um, nope. Look at the past not always the person who should win does. Most music now is a popularity contest I agree and not always about who can sing the best. And whoever made the comment about a guy always winning, false. Carrie Underwood has sold more records than anyother American Idol winner ever, and what about Kelly Clarkson and those aren't the only two to win as a girl. Lee deserved to win to maybe not as much as Crystal but she can do it on her own I don't know if Lee could have. Just like another season some agree some don't. For those who don't think Lee is a great singer how about listening to his version of Hallelujah another time. Oh, and wasn't the best performance of the season when Lee and Crystal sang together?

Well I was really upest that Adam Lambert didn't win last year because he was CLEARLY a much better singer than the other guy {I can't even remember his name}. But I decided to give AI another chance and they royally screwed up this year. First they tell me that Simon {my favorite judge} is leaving the show and then they voted Lee as thier AI. He sucked all season and Mama Sox rocked from auditions consistantly every week and she even outsang Alannis in her own song. AI needs to go back to just allowing the judges to decide the winner because America clearly does not know REAL talent when they hear it and Crystal has that REAL talent.

This is the first year I have ever watched AI. I became hooked after seeing Crystal and Lee's Chicago auditions. They are both incredible artists, but I was rooting for Lee all season. Well deserved Congratulations go to both - and it's obvious that they both have bright futures ahead. Lee, It is a beautiful day everytime I hear your voice.

Thats why its called "American Idol", duh??..its who America Idolizes that becomes the winner, last year i was really mad when Adam didnt win..but then i thought maybe America didnt vote him enough to let him win. Watch out for LEE people, hes gonna write and compose some great hits in the Future. He has this sweet talent of taking songs that are almost forgotten, pouring his heart into it and making them absolutely interesting to listen to..i never paid much attention to most of the songs he did on the show, but after he sang them..i had to look them up!! thats what he does..put a special touch to songs. Singing isnt all about screaming..for those of you who think the contestant who screams the most, deserves to win.

Lee was a good guy. With the RIGHT songs he will do okay. The crunch of AI will probably hold him back a little ...Like Hicks, Studdard and Allen. Crystal will be AWESOME. She is so talented and at ease with her music.She is a PERFORMER, now she needs the right management. Lee will struggle because he needs to LOOSEN up and "perform", not just sing. ....The voting needs to be more for talent..not looks.

I agree with most of you,but I do believe now that the show might fall because we are losing Simon which was the truth telling of it all. As for Our winner Lee I do congradulate him, but I feel that Crystal should of won after all she is better and was NEVER in the bottom 3.Think about it how is that possiable,I do think some of the votes are on your looks and not your voice,i wouder what simon thinks about the outcome.Well i guess next season well tell all. There should be an age limit on who votes on American Idol. The "teeny bopper" voters wouldn't know talent if it hit them in the face! If you are a guy and "cute" you are the winner, hands down!

It makes me smile just to watch Lee again in the video after he won! I figured a long time ago that it would come down to Lee and Chrystal for the finale. The last few weeks really determined the outcome. Lee changed-became more confidant and sang better. Chrystal changed- became too conceited and sang worse. Chrystal seemed to stray from her beginnings too much. That's good to know now, because Lee stayed as humble as ever, and that's the kind of AI we should have!! Congrats Lee!!!!

It's too bad Simon is leaving as he is the only honest judge. This program will go DOWNHILL as a talent show as America only know how to vote popularity. Lee will be one more forgotten first place winner on AI. Too bad ...

The finale was one of the best they have ever had. I'm so happy to see that Lee won, he deserved it. Of course Crystal deserved it too but i think that Lee grew more as an artist and thats what the show was made for, to find talent and turn that person into a star. When I watch the video of the last 5 minutes it makes me smile. Lee is so cute and so shocked. You shouldn't be shocked you worked hard to get here and it all paid off.

I am very disappointed with last night's results. Crystal proved that she should be the winner on Tuesday night when she blew Lee off the stage. Then in the finale, again Crystal made Lee look like a shy little school boy. Crystal was phenomenal both nights and absolutely shined with every single star she sang with. I think Idol has lost me as a fan unless they find a way to control the teenage girl teeny bopper vote. How about allowing only one vote per phone. The votes of interested adults are totally outweighed by little girls who have hours to just sit and vote over and over and over. This makes two years in a row that the teen girls have ruled. I think I'm done.

The last two years have shown what America wants clean cut American kids.I think Crystal is as good a performer as Lee,but his apperance won for him as Chris won last year.I hope the best for both of them.I will certainly buy both of their music.I could have done without the pants on the ground fiasco.But otherwise really enjoyed the show.

In my opinion they are both fabulous singers/artists. It has been proven before that you don't have to win to have a great career, but I believe they will both do really good. And they sure make a good looking couple...they could work out a lot of duets and make it work. They sounded great the week before when they sang a duet.
I'm happy for Lee and I KNOW that Crystal will also be a star. I will be buying both of their cd's when released.

I tried to vote SEVERAL TIMES on Tuesday night but the votes were not counted. The phone rang and then it just went silent. So it wasn't working and I was trying to vote for Crystal. I wonder how many more people had the same problem.

I thought this show was about finding an UNKNOWN but very good talented person.Lee already has two albums out and was working on a third before Idol.Your show is such a joke.Not only is Crystal better but she comes from such a rough back ground,such as singing on the street for money.She is the whole reason for the show.I will not be watching next year and I know a lot of people that because of what happened last year and this year will never watch again.
