Simon, you have always been my favorite judge. I found myself agreeing with you most of the time. Sometimes the honest and truth is difficult to hear but makes the contestants better in the long run. I really enjoyed you mentoring Lee DeWyze. How gratifying it must be to see someone grow as an artist right before you on this show! Will miss you!! Thanks for all that you do.

I really can't believe Simon is leaving. He really is the best part of the show. Truely honest people, who do not sugarcoat the truth are hard to find, and extremely valuable. The rest won't make it without him. Randy is honest but sugar coats, Ellen is hilarious, but too sweet to really be honest, and Kara is the most annoying person on God's Green earth. Simon was it!! He will be greatly missed. I hope he pops in from time to time.

I am, and always have been a great fan of Simon. This show will not be the same without him ... no matter who takes his spot. Wish it could continue. Good luck, Simon ... whatever you do and wherever you go!

When we first started watching AI 9 seasons I had my reservations about Simon, I couldn't decide if I liked him or if I hated him...turns out I think he's the man. I bet AI will sorely miss your presence. Thanks Simon.

Simon, I agreed with you 99% of the time. This year I picked Crystal way back in the beginning and here she is at the final two. People need to hear the honest truth on this show because when they get out in the real music world things will be tough. Your advice was always put in a way that could be understood. (Like Karoke) or "singer at a Bar Mitzvah". American Idol will go by the wayside without you. I don't care how much they paid you, you were WORTH every penney.

Come on Simon! You can't leave, somehow you ARE the show! My kids and I watch it every week down here in Argentina, and really love your comments. Great job!

Simon... As a fan of American Idol it won't be the same without you. Whenever I thought of American Idol I thought of you. Your opinion was honest brunt and 9 times out of 10 to the point. You added a flavor to American Idol that no one else will be able to replace. You will truly be missed. Good luck in your future endeavors and I wish you success.

American Idol was somewhat tarnished and missing something when Paula left. Now Simon. It won't be the same no matter what tactics they come up with. Paula, Simon and Randy are the American Idol components and without the key ingredients, it will not survive I'm sorry to say. Simon, you are the show and with you gone, I just don't see how in the world the show can go on. Anyway, I love you and wish you the very best in your new journey. And may you continue to be blessed. I predict that after approximately 1 to 1 1/2 years, "The X Factor" will surpass AI as the "it" show to watch and will have a greater following than AI because of the lack of age limit and other rules. Good luck with the new show. You have an uncanny sense of what makes a star and I hope that the X Fact., will not leave the deciding vote for the winner solely in the hands of the public. We don't have a great track record (just look at the past two years, not to mention tonight).

I hate some of the jokes they did to Simon last night at the American Idol which I think they were out of line. Too bad they decided to do that. They probably think it's ok, but come on people...!!!

Simon's amazing. He always tells it like it is...and he's sooo hot lol he's one of my biggest celeb crushes lol But the show will not be the same at all without him. They'll try to replace him, but i guarentee the ratings will drop. Everyone loved to hate him, but he was a huge part of the show and I'm gonna miss seeing him on there! Simon was tough at judging people he was wrong about Chris Daughtry and David Cook at the beginning but I'm glad he is moving on and we'll see what happens for next season.

Simon leaving is AWFUL and he will be sorely. Although I love Bret Michael I don't think he is a strong enough of a candidate to anchor the judges table. Plus he needs to focus on his health.... You could always count on Simon speaking "his" truth and whether you agreed with him or not, he was always HONEST AND he gave good to give advice to the contestants. He didn't just agree with Randy. I think Kara isn't afraid of the boys but I think you need more depth and Simon brought that to the judges table. Simon, Randy and Kara were a great team. I love Ellen but didn't understand her being there, 90% of the time she just agreed with Randy or made a joke (that isn't judging). I think an amazing replacement for Simon would be Cher. She is strong, has longevity, understands the business, knows how to sing, has transformed her "style" and career many times, is as honest (maybe more so) as Simon and could hold her own (just on her merits). She would compliment Randy and Kara. She would also be respected by the Idol fans, contestants and other "guest" judges. It would be amazing for the show. I would love to see that threesome. Would be so much fun to watch again.
