It's just like most of these karaoke contests I've been in...its not much more than a freakin' POPULARITY CONTEST...twice I've come in second to someone who should never have made it past qualifying rounds but had all their buds there to clap for them. What makes ya think Idol is any different (other than the grand prize)?

Idol needs to step up their game. Mainly the Judges. They have to be a little more serious and give a little more constructive criticism..like Simon did. It use to be one of my favorite shows. It just isn't the same, and they have a lot of competition.

there's a lot of talent this year, top 42 are really good and they got their own style. this year is fantastic. hopefully the real idol stay in the competition
