The Finale
Wow! What a finale we had this year...in my opinion probably the best in a while, and as Simon said so well, "I really didn't mind who won this year". But to the important stuff, the fashion of our two superheroes! Probably one of my favourite David cook moments this year, the Michel Berandi jacket from Traffic, as you know, my favourite store...I loved the color and cut, and putting something as simple as an H&M graphic tee underneath couldn't take its 'rockness' away! Next came the great leather from our friend Logan Reise...loved the detail on the arms and back...he's very unique in his approach to decorating leather is Logan! The flying guitar tee underneath was a bit tongue-in-cheek rock, but we can't take fashion too seriously now, can we?! For Mr. Cook's final look, we wanted to do something different to recent shows and looks and take it back to his roots, while still taking it up a notch...if that makes sense!?? We both loved the updated 'cafe rocker Cook' look...with a beautifully tailored vest by Givenchy, the shirt and skull & Crossbone cufflinks, and the Levis Warhol/Hirst skull jeans being poles apart from the old David, but strangely familiar...
Style Tips
- Men, a good classic shoe (wingtips are back with a vengeance) will last for a long time, and look as good with jeans as they do a suit.
- Take care of your shoes--polish them regularly.
- Wash jeans every 12 wears, unless you get 'em filthy!
- Buy clothes that fit...too tight or too baggy is not a good look...and you\'ll get more dates this way...I promise!
- A sad truth...in general, expensive clothes are better cut and made...buy the best you can afford.
