On the biggest night of her life, we had to make sure that Crystal was looking her best! We decided on a classic look that would work with all three of her wardrobe choices for her finale performance. Our first step before the make-up was to hydrate her cleansed skin with a swab of Laura Mercier perfecting water. We then used the Luminous {Me} primer and foundation duo, mixing the light and medium colors to create the perfect shade for Crystal’s face. We used the Flawless {Me} compact in light to conceal some red spots as well as under her eyes. The Flawless {Me} in dark was then used as a contour in the hollows of her cheeks as well as around the edges of her face. The Flawless {Me} powder in light was then dusted all over her face to set the foundation. Me by {Me}zhgan’s 24/7 multi-colored blush was then used to give her naturally pink cheeks a glow.
We opted to use the Naturally {Me) eye shadow quad for Crystal’s eye make-up, as it was the most complimentary color palette that worked with all 3 of her outfits for the night. The gold color was applied on the lid and just under the eyebrow. The taupe color was then used as a contour on the brow bone. We glammed it up with a bit of our favorite metallic silver color that we swept right across the eyelid. We used the Define {Me} black pencil liner to line the upper water line. We used Ardell #110 strip lashes, and then curled her lashes with the {Me} eyelash curler. After a nice coat of black mascara, her eyes were complete. We used Crystal’s favorite lip color, Just {Me}, a nude gloss all, over her luscious lips, and then added a dab of Face Atelier’s “ice”, a glittery white gloss, right in the center of her lip to highlight and add a bit of dimension. Crystal looked absolutely beautiful and was ready to sing for her life, and fight for the title of American Idol!
