American Idol Makeup Artist Mezhgan Hussainy offers Beauty tips.

To wash your brushes use a facial cleanser or shampoo. Also, make sure you dry them flat to keep the water from settling where the bristles are glued.
To keep your lipstick from bleeding use a lip liner or put a little foundation on the outer edge of lips.
When lining your lips with a liner stay on your natural lip line not outside of it.
If you have larger lips use darker tones to make them appear smaller. If you have smaller lip use more muted tones to make them appear larger.
Quick pick me up - Just dust your lids with a light color to open up your eyes, add some mascara to add some definition, put on some bronzer to give you some color and add a little lip gloss and go.
Natural - For a natural look you can use earthy tones. You can start by adding a light color underneath your eyebrow, then sweep a medium shade across your lid and lastly blend a slightly darker shade subtly to your natural crease. Use a soft brown or taupe color to line your eye and then add some mascara. For your cheeks mix a bronzer with a soft color blush to give them a rosy glow. Line your lips with a neutral liner to give them some definition and top it with some gloss.

Meet Mezhgan Hussainy
As one of Tinsel Town's top makeup artists, Mezhgan has earned a reputation as one of the most respected professionals in the television industry. Her big break came as the makeup artist to actor John O'Hurley on "To Tell the Truth," where she enjoyed two seasons on the popular game show. Mezhgan is currently the chief makeup artist on American Idol and she now adds celebrities such as Ryan Seacrest, Carrie Underwood and Simon Cowell to her resume. Mezhgan also has her own exciting line of cosmetics, "Me by [Me]zhgan."
