My love for music comes from listening to the music of my father, a recording engineer, who composed music in our living room. His melodies spoke volumes, and his songs evoked an emotional response. I often woke up to songs by Earth, Wind and Fire, Stevie Wonder, Carol Bayer Sager, Toto, Lionel Richie, and Simon and Garfunkel, who's "Bridge over Troubled water" gave me the distinct impression that someone understood what I was going through.
Erin is a singer-songwriter originally from Wisconsin and Cj is a composer/producer originally from Michigan. Hopefully this song reflects a little bit of that Midwestern honesty and soul. Erin and CJ were writing a completely different song together when "Idol" popped on TV. Erin immediately got a brainstorm and ran to the piano, and soon CJ had the rest. After leading turns in theater, Jennifer traveled between Nashville, NY and LA to hone her craft as a singer and songwriter. I'm a stay-at-home mom and I've been writing songs all my life, both for myself and my church, where I'm involved in worship. I released my first CD, “The River,” in February, 2007.
