At the end of the Songs from the Movie Week results show, one person would be leaving the competition, and the other three would be on their way to celebrate in their hometown.

Every week, the opening of the results show is packaged together like a movie trailer and this held true for the Songs from the Movies Week results show. The trailer, along with hearing that Bon Jovi, Daughtry, and Fantasia are performing within the hour, put me on the edge of my seat. All I needed was some popcorn.

There was no group performance this week. Instead, Season 3's American Idol, Fantasia, kicked off the show with her new single, "Bittersweet." As Fantasia took the stage, Simon waved at her. The soulful singer looked great and sounded great. It was a much more subdued performance than her Season 7 results show performance. When Ryan greeted her on stage, he joked, "You gotta learn to sing with some heart!" It made me feel really old when Fantasia revealed that her baby is now NINE years old!

The four contestants sat on stools in the middle of the stage. I guess their won't be a bottom three this week, since that would be 75% of the finalists. Crystal's feather earring keeps getting longer and longer. It's like there is an actual living bird on her ear. After watching this week's music video, we saw video footage of hometown visits from seasons past. It was so touching and showed how Idol really changes lives. And, we got to see some of our favorite Top 3 finalists, and everyone's favorite Idol mom, Claudette Yamin. If Mike gets a hometown visit he will be excited to play with his puppy, his family, and breathe humid ocean air. Crystal wants to see her family and play a gig with her bass player Frankie May at the Village Idiot. Lee DeWyze looks forward to having some "me" time without cameras, and Casey can't wait to see his friends, family, puppies, and hear "y'all."

The camera panned to the bleachers, where the Top 4 finalists' families nervously cheered on their loved ones. Big Mike's wife looks great...it's crazy to think she recently had a baby. The four finalists stood up for the first part of the results, which Ryan Seacrest revealed in "no particular order." Casey James is safe, which means we get to see what life is like in Cool, Texas!

When we came back from commercial, Casey James still looked like he was in shock. It was Top 4 results night four years ago that Chris Daughtry was eliminated, and tonight he took the stage with his multi-platinum, award-winning rock band, Daughtry. They played the third single, "September," off their latest album, "Leave This Town." This is the second Idol season in a row where the band performed on the Top 4 week. It's kind of a statement of "I got eliminated in fourth and look at me now." I'm sure that will help whoever is sent home tonight when they see that fourth ain't bad!

It was time to send one more member into the Top 3, and this time (in no particular order) it was Lee DeWyze who got to celebrate in the bleachers with his family. Next, rock legends Bon Jovi took the stage to perform "Superman Tonight." Daughtry is like a younger Bon Jovi in many ways, but it's strange that the guys in Bon Jovi have way more hair than the young guys in Daughtry.

As Ryan chatted with Lee and Casey and their families, the girls in the audience screamed "I Love You, Lee!" and then "I Love You, Casey!" Lee's mom looked a little disturbed. Although Lee and Casey were excited to hop on a jet and head home, they were nervous for their friends Michael Lynche and Crystal Bowersox. Mike was about to kiss Crystal on the head but saw her dreadlocks and pulled back. When Ryan announced that Crystal is in the Top 3, she cried. The comeback kid is officially going home, but he had a great run. America voted him out in ninth place, but the judges saved him and he soared to Top 4. His awesome clips package shows all the people he has hoisted up into the air. His baby came out on stage - where did she come from - and was crying as hard as Mike's wife Christa was. As he sang "Will You Be There" again, he walked around the judges and audience and you just can't deny that he has a great voice and he's a great performer. The four judges stood up to support him.

It looks like Mike will get to see his puppy, after all, this week...just not as a member of the Top 3. He picked up his Idol baby and kissed her at the very end of the show. And now I'm about to cry as much as the Lynche girls!
