It's all come down to this. Will it be Kree or will it be Candice? Not surprisingly the Idols™ were all dressed in white, a tradition that was started seasons ago. The Top 10 started the show with a group performance of “Glad You Came” by The Wanted.

Top 5 finalist Janelle Arthur then hit the stage to rock on with one of her idols, The Band Perry. Janelle and the group rocked on together to the song “Done.” It was nice to see Janelle dig deep with the country powerhouse band!

The boys came in with a special video package claiming that the girls were responsible for their systematic removal from the show. We got to see the girls trick the boys into situations that ultimately caused their eliminations. But, who was the mastermind behind this evil venture? It turns out it was the last girl to win the show back in Season 6, Jordin Sparks! She really wanted to make sure a lady took the title this year. The guys followed up their special video package with a medley of Frankie Valli songs. Then the legendary artist himself joined the fellas onstage for a performance of “Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You.”

The finale crowd got a treat, and perhaps what her fans have been waiting for all season, when superstar diva Mariah Carey took the stage to perform a medley of some of her famous hits. The powerhouse singer performed “Vision of Love,” “Hero,” “We Belong Together,” and many more! Not only that, but she looked fabulous rocking a white sequin and feather column gown. We love you Mariah! If you look closely you can see our very own Randy Jackson backing her up on guitar on the Nokia stage.

Top 4 Finalist Amber Holcomb then performed with Emeli Sande. The ladies put on an ultra-display of girl power as they performed Sande's hit “Next to Me.” Sande was a perfect choice for the finale as her songs were performed by the ladies all season long.

The Top 2 ladies then brought out their hometown heroes! Candice chose her grandmother and Kree chose a close friend. Both the heroes received tickets for the finale and then FORD presented them both with a brand new FORD Fiesta!

South Korean Pop sensation PSY then took the stage to perform his new hit single, “Gentleman.” The performance was not short of his signature dance moves and hoards of background dancers. There were even a few fireworks. Go PSY!

Back from a short commercial break we got a treat with our very own IDOL™ judge and country superstar Keith Urban took the stage to perform his new single, “Little Bit of Everything.”

Then the maybe the most divalicious duet to ever grace the IDOL™ stage happened when Candice Glover and Jennifer Hudson rocked out to Natalie Cole's “Inseparable.” This Insider still has chills. Amen ladies, AMEN!

Top 3 Finalist Angie Miller was then paired with Adam Lambert to perform “Titanium.” Angie rocked it out on her trusty piano and not surprisingly the two edgy singers blended their voices perfectly while singing the David Guetta hit. After their performance Adam welcomed Angie's personal idol, Jessie J to the stage. The hard edge girls performed Jessie J's hit, “Domino.” The British rocker had a surprise for Angie after their performance when she asked her to come to the UK to perform Angie's original song, “You Set Me Free” during one of Jessie J's concerts!

Kree took the stage next to perform Keith Urban's hit “Where the Blacktop Ends” with our legendary judge. Not only that, but Randy Jackson joined on guitar and musician Travis Barker played the drums for this amazing collaboration. Kree looked right at home next to the music powerhouses!

The IDOL™ team then paid tribute to veteran judge Randy Jackson who recently announced that he was leaving the show after twelve seasons. We got to see some of the greatest moments from Randy's IDOL™ tenure.

Ryan then video chatted with Aretha Franklin live in the Nokia Theatre. Aretha is averse to flying, but she still agreed to do the show. The Top 5 girls then hit the stage to perform a medley with the legendary diva. Although Aretha performed from a remote location, the performance was over-the-top good!

Former judge Jennifer Lopez then performed her hit “Live it Up” with Pitbull. And boy have we missed those leotards! JLo wowed in a white Grecian style body suit with a short white skirt. She and her background dancers tore the stage up with their dance moves during the upbeat song.

Right before the winner was announced Candice and Kree performed a mash-up of “One Less Bell to Answer” by the 5th Dimension and “A House is Not a Home” by Dionne Warwick. The performance was like the beautiful calm before the storm. Right before Ryan announced the results we could see Candice whisper “I love you” to Kree. Ryan then announced that Candice took the Season 12 IDOL™ crown. Congratulations, Candice! Your real IDOL™ journey has just begun.
