Fans met their Idols at the Season 8 tour meet and greet. The crowd gave the Idols a standing ovation as they left the stage. Scott and Matt sang and played a Billy Joel song together. The Idols took the stage together for the finale performance. Scott and Matt took part in a dueling piano session.

Ultimately, it was Scott who received the fewest votes and Anoop embraced him.

After some harsh criticism in past weeks over what the judges have thought were some bad song choices, Scott MacIntyre seemed to get it just right last night. He stripped it down by singing "Just The Way You Are" with the piano as his only backup, and the judges were very impressed. As Randy said, "One of the best of the night, Dude."
