The Top 12 put up their rock signs. The Top 12 performed "School's Out," and that's Orianthi behind the judges' table. After thousands of auditioners came out to 7 cities and after months of performing for your votes, Lee DeWyze was chosen as the 2010 American Idol. The Top 12 took the stage and were dressed like Britney Spears in her "Baby?One More Time" music video. They sang "School's Out" as Orianthi tore it up on the guitar. Then Alice Cooper came out to join the finalists and brought a few school children with him. They must've been very sad about Simon Cowell's last night, judging by the eyeliner running down their faces. Chilli showed off teh back of her dress.
Season 9's Lacey Brown was happy to be back in Los Angeles. Lacey Brown reunited with the Top 12 at the finale. It's been a tight race between Crystal and Lee all season long, and the two have remained good pals throughout. Which one would be doused in confetti the next night? The Top 12 gathered on stage to congratulate Lee and Crystal and to cry (I'm looking at you, Benami!). Randy greeted Katie Stevens before the Top 3 show. Randy Jackson greeted his dawgs: Andrew, Mike, Lacey, and Katie.
The Top 12 finalists were in town to rehearse for the finale and support the Top 3. This good looking trio - Lacey, Katie, and Tim - were happy to support the finalists. Top 12 finalists and Idol BFFs Lacey Brown and Paige Miles were in the audience. This darling little diva now has red hair -- it's Lacey Brown! The Top 12 looked nice decked out in white.
It was great to have all the finalists back together again. Crystal, Didi, Lacey, and Lee sang and made their way down the staircase simultaneously. All Top 12 finalists were back and they performed "Keeping The Dream Alive" by Freiheit. It was great to see everyone back together again?seven is starting to feel lonely. Just like in past years, the Idols wore all white, and the girls looked like they were modeling gowns at a bridal fashion show. Season 9 Top 12 finalist Lacey Brown came to the show to support her friends. Didi watched her emotional clips package with Ryan.
Lacey Brown looked through the wardrobe selections. Lacey Brown had her makeup applied before singing "Ruby Tuesday." Lacey checked out the stylists' work. The Top 6 girls lined up next to the guys. The Top 12 took the stage for The Rolling Stones week.
Lacey watched her goodbye package as she stood with Ryan. Lacey did a nice job with her song, but it wasn't enough to earn her the coveted save. She thanked the judges and watched her goodbye package with her teary eyed compadres. 'Til next week?Seacrest out! Lacey was always looking fashionable throughout the competition. Lacey sang as the judges deliberated on whether or not they should use the save. Lacey told Ryan which song she selected.
The judges decided to not use the save, and Lacey's supportive peers joined her on stage. Lacey gave Tim Urban a hug. Lacey got to pick her song for the save and she chose Brandi Carlile's "The Story." Lacey Brown gave her final performance her all. It was down to roomies and Idol BFFs Paige Miles and Lacey Brown. Lacey was the one with the least amount of votes, so she got the chance to sing for the save. This year, the contestants apparently get to pick which song they'll sing, which is a nice change from having to sing the song that put you in the bottom in the first place.
Lacey received the fewest votes and would have to sing for the save. It came down to Lacey and Casey, which has a nice ring to it. Which Texan would be in the bottom? Lacey received fewer votes than Casey, so she joined Paige and Tim. Ryan relieved Tim and sent him to safety. Tim looked even more shocked than Kris Allen looked after finding out he won American Idol. Ryan talked to Katie about her previous night's performance. Crystal Bowersox explained her feelings to the judges.
Big Mike earned enough votes to keep him around. Didi Benami faced the results, which Ryan guarded in his hands. Aaron Kelly found out that America enjoyed his performance of "Angie." Paige was sent to the bottom three, and next up was Lee DeWyze. Siobhan Magnus faced her fate.
The Top 12 sat on the bleachers for the first time as a group. After viewing the first Season 9 Ford music video, the mood turned serious as Ryan read the results. He started with Paige Miles, and the laryngitis sufferer landed in the bottom. I can't remember the last time the first person called up was sent to the bottom three. Lacey Brown laughed as Ellen joked that she should avoid the Grand Canyon since she enjoys sitting on edges of things. Ryan and Lacey talked to the judges. Lacey made a fashion statement on stage.
The ruby-haired girl sang "Ruby Tuesday." Lacey Brown took advantage of the stage and walked past a string quartet that accompanied her during "Ruby Tuesday." Yum, that makes me crave a burger. The judges thought it was an interesting performance, and Ellen noticed that Lacey likes to sit on the edge of things and encourages her to stay away from the Grand Canyon. Walking in those heels would make me grab a seat too. Lacey Brown walked on to the stage with "Ruby Tuesday." The Top 12 show was introduced by an anonymous announcer. Ryan made his way down the treacherous stairs without any problems, and welcomed the Top 10 to the fancy new stage. The finalists stepped out from behind the moving set walls, and they looked like stars. Now stick out your tongues for The Rolling Stones! One of these 12 finalists will be the next American Idol!!
Lacey Brown shined at the party. The Top 12 are reaching for the stars! The Idols caught up with Cory Monteith, Finn from Glee! Everywhere Lacey turned, she was faced with cameras. Check out this good lookin' group!

The Top 8 girls worked out their nerves in the red room. Lacey Brown was having some fun before showtime. Lacey Brown's beautiful eyes stood out with some makeup. Alex Lambert said goodbye to his boys. What a night! Congrats Aaron, Andrew, Casey, Crystal, Didi, Katie, Lacey, Lee, Michael, Paige, Siobhan, and Tim who will be taking on songs by The Rolling Stones next week.
Lacey Brown came out of her slump and gave her strongest performance this week, and it helped secure her a spot in the Top 12. It could also be her "Iraheta red" hair that gave her good luck. The girls sang together as they sauntered across the stage. Lacey and Alex, and Todrick and Paige paired up and sang to each other. To lighten the mood, the Top 16 took the stage as a group one last time to perform Michael Bubl?'s "Haven't Met You Yet." The contestants had to learn partner choreography this week, which made for an entertaining performance. The contestants performed together for one last time on the smaller Idol stage.
Alex Lambert and Lacey Brown were enjoying their song and dance to "Haven't Met You Yet." Lacey Brown sang Brandi Carlile's "The Story" while sitting on the steps of the stage. The performance seemed intimate, but Lacey kept it funky with green nail polish and orange pumps. The judges were happy to have the Lacey they knew and loved back and thought this was her best performance yet. Simon also liked that Lacey is aware of the cameras...something Simon always plays to as well! Lacey looked comfortable as she sang "The Story." Lacey was happy to hear positive reviews from the judges. Lacey Brown performed from the edge of the stairs.

The girls were ready to watch the Top 10 guys perform. Siobhan and Lacey hung out upstairs. The Coke cameras caught Lacey Brown on the balcony. Simon said it's fairly obvious who would be leaving, but it's not fairly obvious to me because I never know how America is going to vote! We never found out if the person sent home was the obvious one, but Haeley was sent packing. Haeley and Lacey were good sports about their predicament.
The last batch of results had Katelyn Epperly, Crystal Bowersox, and Siobhan Magnus taking a seat in the safety zone. It was down to the two girls who love hair accessories: Haeley Vaughn and Lacey Brown. The girls were sad to say goodbye to Michelle Delamor. The girls watched from above as the guys' results were revealed. When it was time to find out which two girls were leaving, Ryan told Lilly Scott, Paige Miles, and Katie Stevens that they were safe. Katie's Middlebury friends were going to have to schedule another viewing party and hope for no snow this Tuesday. Lacey Brown, Michelle Delamor, and Didi Benami were having a good time during the group performance.
