An American Idol Reunion! Season 9's Andrew Garcia and Katie Stevens chatted with Season 8 Idol Kris Allen and Judge Randy Jackson. The Top 24 partied with some famous friends! The finalists started "The Climb" while seated on the stools. Then they got up and worked the crowd. Lee, Crystal, and the rest of the Season 9 gang thanked the audience for rockin' out. Katie Stevens showed us she's not a kid any more!
Katie showed her youthful side with a Demi Lovato song. Katie talked to her fans and took a sip of water. We first heard Katie sing "Fighter" during the Season 9 finale. Katie's two solos were Demi Lovato's "Here We Go Again" and Christina Aguilera's "Fighter." The 10th through 6th place Idols sang "The Climb."
"The Climb" represents these finalists' journey on Season 9. Siobhan, Andrew, Aaron, Tim, Katie, and Didi harmonized well together. Katie Stevens rocks out to "Fighter" by Christina Aguilera. Katie Stevens has some fun with the crowd on tour. The teen from Middlebury rocks out on tour with the Top 10.
Katie Stevens grew up before our eyes on Season 9 of American Idol, and here she is entertaining thousands on tour! Everyone seemed pretty relaxed before the big finale. Reunited and it feels so good! American Idol Lee DeWyze said goodnight to his fans. Lee had the microphone in one hand, a trophy in the other, and confetti and friends all around him.
The Top 12 finalists gathered around to congratulate Lee. The Top 6 girls were back together again. Siobhan Magnus sang some big notes as Crystal and Katie backed her up. Alice Cooper joined teh Top 12 on stage for "School's Out." The Top 12 rocked out with Alice.
The Top 12 put up their rock signs. The Top 12 performed "School's Out," and that's Orianthi behind the judges' table. After thousands of auditioners came out to 7 cities and after months of performing for your votes, Lee DeWyze was chosen as the 2010 American Idol. Lee DeWyze couldn't believe what just happened. The Top 12 took the stage and were dressed like Britney Spears in her "Baby?One More Time" music video. They sang "School's Out" as Orianthi tore it up on the guitar. Then Alice Cooper came out to join the finalists and brought a few school children with him. They must've been very sad about Simon Cowell's last night, judging by the eyeliner running down their faces.
It's been a tight race between Crystal and Lee all season long, and the two have remained good pals throughout. Which one would be doused in confetti the next night? The Top 12 gathered on stage to congratulate Lee and Crystal and to cry (I'm looking at you, Benami!). Randy greeted Katie Stevens before the Top 3 show. Randy Jackson greeted his dawgs: Andrew, Mike, Lacey, and Katie. The Top 12 finalists were in town to rehearse for the finale and support the Top 3. This good looking trio - Lacey, Katie, and Tim - were happy to support the finalists.

All Top 12 finalists were back and they performed "Keeping The Dream Alive" by Freiheit. It was great to see everyone back together again?seven is starting to feel lonely. Just like in past years, the Idols wore all white, and the girls looked like they were modeling gowns at a bridal fashion show. The Top 9 returned and sang a medley of Elvis songs. The Top 9 looked serious on the steps during Elvis week. Katie Stevens was happy to be back for another week of performances. Ryan introduced the show and the returning Top 9.
Ryan embraced Katie after her performance. Crystal hugged the third place girl and Michael, Aaron, and Casey showed their support. Katie and Andrew were the Hollywood week front-runners, and this elimination goes to show that it's anybody's game. Next week the lucky 7 get to meet with Alicia Keys to take on inspirational songs. Don't miss Wednesday's special 2-hour Idol Gives Back event. "There will be an answer; let it be." Katie sang one last time on the big Idol stage.
High school student Katie has a bright future ahead of her! After a big bear hug from Papa Mike, Katie took the mic and sang "Let It Be," which is really emotional and tough to sing after being told you were eliminated. There were many teary eyes in the audience and somber judges at the panel, and we got the obligatory shot of Siobhan crying. The Top 9 supported each other before Katie and Andrew left the competition. The evening was emotional, but Andrew and Katie can't be too sad -- they're spending their summer on tour! The Top 9 watched Katie and Andrew's emotional footage at the end of the show.
Katie chose to sing her song from Lennon/McCartney week: "Let It Be." Ryan announced that the second person leaving the show on Top 9 results night was Katie Stevens. A nervous Tim, Michael, and Katie stood at the center of the stage and Ryan sent Tim back to safety. He revealed, "One of you is going home, and the other one was not even in the bottom three this week." Katie was the eliminated Idol. The Top 9 gathered together as Andrew's and Katie's journeys rolled on the big screen. A teary Katie and Tim said goodbye to their bud, Andrew.
The group gathered around to say so long to Andrew Garcia. Casey James, with his feathered hair, stood up to find out his place in the competition. It was time for more results, and Ryan told Crystal Bowersox, Siobhan Magnus, and Lee DeWyze (who he sauntered with over to the bleachers) that they were returning next week. Tim Urban, Big Mike Lynche, or Katie Stevens would be leaving this evening. The Top 9 took the stage and showed some fancy Elvis footwork as they sang a medley of Elvis songs. Rather than singing six songs like they did for last week's Lennon/McCartney group number, they took on three. When Aaron Kelly sang to Katie Stevens, I thought I was watching some high school musical show for a second. The Top 9 got a kick out of this week's eco-music video.
Lee, Katie, and Mike looked a tad nervous on the bottom bleacher. The three powerful girls sang together. Andrew Garcia, Katie Stevens, and Aaron Kelly looked happy to be performing a medley of Elvis Presley songs. Since the judges used the save last week, two finalists were going to be sent home right before the exciting and touching Idol Gives Back week. With a Season 9 record of 34 million votes cast, who would it be? Elvis results night was the Season 5 show that sent Chris Daughtry packing, and America into a frenzy. That's okay America; I think he's doing mighty fine! The Top 9 were ready to perform hits by The King -- Elvis Presley.
To make a statement to the judges who are always giving conflicting advice to Katie Stevens, she chose to sing "Baby What You Want Me To Do." While wearing every accessory from the Idol wardrobe closet, Katie sang with sass and cocked her head a lot. Kara enjoyed the performance, Ellen made reference to all of the french horns, trumpets, and saxophones the band played during the song, but Simon's old ears couldn't take it. He said it was "very loud and a bit annoying." Katie smiled as the judges chatted about her performance. Katie Stevens was ready to make a statement to the judges with "Baby What You Want Me To Do." Katie showed her sassy side during her Elvis performance. Katie isn't afraid of accessories!
Katie sang with power and emotion. After a dramatic and exciting results show, all nine contestants returned to the stage to perform songs by The King?Elvis! And who better to mentor the Idols than Season 8 runner-up Adam Lambert? He has stage presence, swagger, and knows first-hand about the Idol experience. Which two of the Top 9 would be packing their bags within 24 hours? And will Matthew Morrison get his hat back from Ryan Seacrest? We'd find out the answers to at least one of these questions on Wednesday. The finalists were primped in the makeup room. Katie Stevens exited the stage after her performance of "Let It Be."
Katie Stevens had a support group in the audience. Young fans showed support for their favorite Idol finalists. Andrew and Katie were looking great before the Top 9 Lennon/McCartney results show. The audience, in particular Mike's family, went nuts, and even the judges were hugging each other and giving high fives. It was the feel good moment of the season, until Ryan said that this means two will go home next week. Womp womp...what a downer. But for tonight, we'll celebrate! Tune in next week as Adam Lambert mentors the Top 9. The three remaining ladies nervously listened as Randy Jackson shared that they all were "hot" the night before.
Siobhan and Katie were relieved to be returning for another week. The nervous Top 9 were bracing themselves for a surprise or two. Ryan called Siobhan Magnus to the center of the stage, so I figured it was one of those "Which group is in the bottom?" scenarios. However, Crystal Bowersox and Katie Stevens were asked to join Siobhan. All three were safe and moving on to the next week. Girl power! Katie Stevens found out she'd be joining Siobhan in the middle of the stage. The Top 12 gathered in the bleachers and watch their music video of the week. Siobhan Magnus stood up and listened as Ryan recapped her last performance.
The Top 9 took the stage to sing practically all of Lennon/McCartney's 35 #1 hits. Guess how many songs they fit into their group number? Six (For the record: "Here, There And Everywhere," "Got To Get You Into My Life," "The Fool On A Hill," "All You Need Is Love," "She Loves You," and "The End."). Each finalist got a solo, which was fun because you get to hear the audience go wild for certain singers. After a strong night of performances, it was anyone's game! Ryan encouraged America to "pick the one you love." What number can you call for the man in the plaid skirt? This fun episode will be followed up by a results show with David Archuleta, Rihanna, and Jason Derulo! Katie went for the high notes in "Let It Be." As the judges commented on Katie's performance, she was all smiles.
Katie Stevens showed a lot of personality this week in her clips package with her "Single Ladies" dance and in the other Idols' packages. She sang "Let It Be," which was a bold choice since Brooke White had her moment with that song during Season 7, but Katie gave a strong performance and made it her own. The judges thought this was Katie at her best, and of course Simon managed to take credit for her marked improvement. Katie sang a song she was comfortable with, "Let It Be." Katie stayed put at the microphone stand this week for an intimate performance of The Beatles' "Let It Be." Ryan interviewed Katie Stevens about the five offers she received to attend prom. Season 9's Top 9 took the stage for songs from the Lennon/McCartney Songbook.
