Season 9's Crystal Bowersox lends a hand at Children's Hospital. Lee, Crystal, and the rest of the Season 9 gang thanked the audience for rockin' out. Crystal conversed with the audience between her songs. Crystal Bowersox belted out "What's Up?" by the 4 Non Blondes - a tough song to sing! Crystal smiled at her son, who was in the audience at the Staples Center show.
Crystal reached for the high notes in Janis Joplin's "Piece Of My Heart." Season 9's top girl worked it on stage! Crystal also sang the last song she performed for votes on Idol - "Up To The Mountain." Crystal wore her microphone, harmonica, and guitar for "Come To My Window." Season 9's top girl, Crystal Bowersox, entertains fans all summer long on the Idols Live tour.
Bowersox rox the audience's sox. Crystal slows her set down with a softer tune. It wouldn't be a Crystal show without her guitar and harmonica! Jay Leno, Dakota Fanning, and Graeme McDowell joined Crystal after her performance. Crystal was backed by a familiar face, Rickey Minor, for her 4 Non Blondes performance.
Crystal seemed comfortable on The Tonight Show set. Crystal Bowersox had her signature microphone stand and favorite guitar strap as she performed "What's Up." Lee and Crystal were in for a big night of performances and results. Crystal and Lee have remained friends since they met in Chicago, so it was fitting that they sang, "With A Little Help From My Friends." Ryan announced that Lee DeWyze is the American Idol! It was the moment we've all been waiting for, which Ryan Seacrest dragged into what felt like twenty moments via his dramatic pauses. "The winner?of American Idol?2010?issssssss?Lee DeWyze!" The Top 2 finalists paired up to perform together before one of them was declared the American Idol.
Lee and Crystal ended the night of guest performances with Joe Cocker as they crooned "With a Little Help From My Friends." These are the wonder years. It's rare that this is the case on American Idol, but I actually think Crystal and Lee are even more amazing together. They should become a duo a la Hall & Oates, only sans creepy mustache. Crystal sang a song by Alanis during the Top 24 week of live shows. Crystal Bowersox performed a medley of songs with Alanis Morissette. Crystal and Alanis belted "You Oughta Know." The Top 6 girls performed some of Christina's Aguilera's biggest hits.
It was good to see Paige Miles back on the Idol stage. The Top 6 girls were back together again. Crystal Bowersox and Didi Benami were having a good time performing with their old pals. Siobhan Magnus sang some big notes as Crystal and Katie backed her up. Alice Cooper joined teh Top 12 on stage for "School's Out."
Alice Cooper brought a lot of energy to the performance of his song, "School's Out." The Top 12 rocked out with Alice. The Top 12 put up their rock signs. The Top 12 performed "School's Out," and that's Orianthi behind the judges' table. American Idol spent a summer scouring the nation for the best singers, but it came down to two who auditioned in Chicago, Illinois. In the race between the single mother from Ohio and the paint salesman from Illinois, who would become the next American Idol?
Lee DeWyze couldn't believe what just happened. Crystal and Lee nervously awaited for Ryan to reveal who was Season 9's American Idol. During the first week of live shows, Crystal Bowersox sang "Hand In My Pocket" by Alanis Morissette. After Crystal sang "Ironic," she welcomed Miss Alanis to the stage for a performance of "You Oughta Know." They did a lot of pacing back and forth during this angsty song which was semi-censored. The two sounded great together and I could see Crystal putting out music like this. The Top 12 took the stage and were dressed like Britney Spears in her "Baby?One More Time" music video. They sang "School's Out" as Orianthi tore it up on the guitar. Then Alice Cooper came out to join the finalists and brought a few school children with him. They must've been very sad about Simon Cowell's last night, judging by the eyeliner running down their faces. Crystal seemed calm, despite the looming final results.
Crystal smiled for the many flashing bulbs. Crystal Bowersox looked breezy on the red carpet. Crystal smiled as the crowed called her name. The lady of the night, Crystal Bowersox, arrived at the red carpet. If Crystal became the Season 9 American Idol, "Up To The Mountain" would be her first single.
Although I'm sure Crystal was sad not to be able to sing a coronation song about magical elves and sparkly streams, she took on Patty Griffin's "Up To The Mountain." Towards the end of her song, she became choked up. The judges thought this was the performance of the night. The judges thought this was the performance of the night. She was wearing a shorter satin dress and heels, and after mastering the staircase, she was able to comfortably walk around and greet her fans in the pit. Randy approved and said, "Mamasox is in it to win it!" Since Crystal wasn't playing an instrument, she was able to move around the stage and greet her fans in the audience. The judges said that they were glad to have the Crystal they knew and loved back.
After Crystal sang the Janis Joplin song at the finale, Simon stated, "We've got a competition tonight." Ryan joined Crystal to read off her three voting numbers. "Me & Bobby McGee" was Crystal's reprise pick. There was no magic carpet this time, but Crystal sang it just as well as she did the first time. The judges said that they were glad to have the Crystal they knew and loved back. Simon stated, "We've got a competition tonight." Game on! Crystal didn't have her magic carpet, but she had her microphone stand for her first performance of the night. Crystal won the coin toss and chose to go second.
Crystal blew a kiss to her loved ones in the audience. Crystal Bowersox ended the night with "Up To The Mountain" by Patty Griffin. It's been a tight race between Crystal and Lee all season long, and the two have remained good pals throughout. Which one would be doused in confetti the next night? The Top 12 gathered on stage to congratulate Lee and Crystal and to cry (I'm looking at you, Benami!). Two strong competitors were ready to sing a song they performed earlier this season, a song that Executive Producer Simon Fuller selected, and then the obligatory coronation song. Lee and Crystal seemed relatively calm considering they were standing on a large stage before 7000 people and the TV sets of nearly 30 million, not 3 million like Crystal guessed back in January. Stylist Soyon An and Crystal Bowersox approved of this outfit.
Crystal posed with the stylists before taking the stage at the Top 3 results show. The Top 3 took the stage to rehearse. Crystal grabbed her guitar and took the stage. Crystal was ready to jam and sing "Come To My Window." The Top 3 posed with the staff that helps them look so good.

We finally got to the results, and Ryan announced that the first person?moving on?to the finale?is?Lee DeWyze! And the other Top 2 finalist is...Crystal Bowersox! The dueting friends must now face off in what is sure to be a great night. When it came down to Crystal and Casey, we found out that Casey was leaving in third place. Crystal Bowersox became verklempt. The Top 3 finalists looked nervous as they awaited their fate. We got to hear from each finalist about their experiences on the show.
Crystal Bowersox was emotional after watching her hometown visit, in which her original song "Holy Toledo" was played. Next week is one of the biggest television events of the year as Crystal Bowersox and Lee DeWyze sing for America's votes one last time. Who will it be? Ryan read the results to Lee, Crystal, and Casey. Who would be leaving the competition right before the finale? Ryan revealed that Lee DeWyze is moving on to the grand finale! Casey reached out to pat him on the back, and Crystal applauded her pal. Lee thanked his fans before moving to the side of the stage.
The Top 3 became the Top 2 who were headed to the finale. The Top 3 results show was one of the biggest of the season. The Top 3 smiled (Lee gave a crooked smile) despite the impending results. One of these three finalists is your next American Idol!!! The Top 3 entered the Idol stage and were met with a loud round of applause.
