This was Allison and Orianthi's first time performing "Don't Waste The Pretty" together on television! Allison infused the double elimination results show with some upbeat energy. Allison sang her hit single "Don't Waste The Pretty" and Orianthi strummed along. Melinda Doolittle, Allison Iraheta, and Blake Lewis were a few alumni who returned to celebrate Simon. It's been nearly a year since Allison performed on the Idol stage.
Allison met with Ryan for an "awkward interview." She said it was scary to be back and she felt like she was going to get eliminated. This probably didn't ease the nervous contestants' fears. Allison caught up with Ryan, and admitted that she was ready for another "awkward interview." Allison Iraheta performed her emotional ballad, "Scars." Allison Iraheta returned to the Idol stage to perform her single, "Scars." Allison looked fabulous and sang great on the Idol stage.

The crowd gave the Idols a standing ovation as they left the stage. The Idols took the stage together for the finale performance. The tour finale brought the Idols back on stage as one big, happy group! "Don't Stop Believin'" was the motto of the tour, and the Idols made Randy Jackson proud with their Journey tribute. Adam and Allison performed "Slow Ride" together, which they first debuted during Rock Week with the Top 4.
With a guitar in hand, Allison Iraheta showed "I'm still a rock star" during Pink's "So What." Allison shredded on her guitar and had wind in her hair. Allison worked the stage during her high energy set. The hairstylists went to work on Allison Iraheta's fiery locks. Allison Iraheta could only give a side glance as hairstylists worked on her 'do.
Danny Gokey gave Kris Allen a fist bump before taking the stage with Allison, Alexis, Michael, and the rest of the Top 13. Allison gave one of her Idols, Cyndi Lauper, a hug. Carlos Santana was joined by Matt Giraud for "Black Magic Woman" and then the rest of the Idols joined in for "Smooth." The Top 13 were mighty spicy on stage! These two talented women sounded great together.

For the last performance of the night, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen joined Queen on stage to sing "We are the Champions." The rest of the Top 13 joined the group on stage.

With Memorial Day right around the corner, the Idols looked confident wearing white just a few days early. The Top 13's performance ended with a bang. The first musical performance reunited the Top 13 for Pink's "So What," and the top girls glided down the stairs with ease. The Top 13 were back together again on the Idol stage.
The rest of the Top 13 rooted on the final 3 from the audience. The Top 13 supported Adam and Kris from the front rows of the Nokia Theater. The Idols were on their feet to cheer for Adam and Kris. The mood turned serious when Ryan announced the second person headed to safety. Ryan announced that Adam Lambert received enough votes to continue on in the competition. The last spot in the Top 3 belonged to either Danny Gokey or Allison Iraheta. Danny had never been in the bottom, but he did scare some people with his "Dream On" scream. Allison has been in the bottom before, but blew the judges away in her rock duet. Ultimately, Allison Iraheta received the fewest votes and landed in the Daughtry spot - 4th place.
Ryan slowly opened the results card as Allison and Danny waited patiently. The Idols were genuinely happy for one another. An ecstatic Kris got love from everyone before heading to safety. Allison, Danny, Adam, and Kris were obviously a tight-knit group. The Idols were reminded of the judges critiques from rock performances night.
Kris Allen hugged his buddies before heading over to the stools of safety. During some small talk with the contestants, Danny Gokey shared what it was like to go home and watch his now infamous scream. He looked on the bright side, saying maybe the track could be used in horror movies. Did Danny scare people into voting for him or for other Idols? Allison gave her duet partner, and friend, Adam a big hug. Allison gave Kris a hug goodbye as Danny and Adam supported her. The Top 4 contestants nervously awaited their fate.
The Top 4 performed together on the Idol stage one last time. The Top 4 contestants performed "School's Out" as mentor Slash shredded on his guitar. After the performance, Slash revealed that he does have eyes under his shades, although he left America wondering what they look like. With only four Idols remaining, the bleachers were swapped for some stools. Put your rock 'n roll hand signs in the air, because it's Rock Week on American Idol! Legendary rocker Slash is too edgy to mentor in an ornate mansion, so the top 4 headed to the Roxy night club on the Sunset strip for some hardcore rehearsals. Resident rockers Adam and Allison were pleased with the feedback the judges gave them.
Ryan talked with Adam and Allison after their rousing performance of "Slow Ride." Adam said that Allison is like a little sister to him. Closing out the night was a duet from resident rockers Allison Iraheta & Adam Lambert, who took on Foghat's "Slow Ride." Expressing a lot of confidence, even while wearing tight leather pants, Adam and Allison blew away the judges with their performance and Kara appreciated how they were pushing each other to become better. Randy said Adam and Allison should do a duet on their albums. Adam and Allison got down and dirty for Foghat's "Slow Ride."
Simon thought Allison was redeemed with the duet. American Idol introduced something new this week- Idol duets! Ryan stood by Allison as she conversed with the judges about their feedback. Allison Iraheta wasn't afraid to speak her mind after the judges challenged her song choice. Allison Iraheta wanted edgier hair for Rock Week, so she went with Adam to get her hair done in town. Slash loved Allison's natural rock 'n roll swagger as she performed Janis Joplin's "Cry Baby." The judges appreciated Allison's vocals but not her song choice, and Allison wasn't afraid to give them a piece of her mind.
