Daughtry rocked the IDOL™ stage like he had never left!

Jessica Meuse was the fourth person announced as safe for the the evening. All of Randy Jackson's predictions were correct!

The judges looked stern during Sam's performance, but in the end decided to use their one save of the season on the teen heart-throb from Florida.

Malaya Watson, Sam Woolf and C.J. Harris were in the bottom three!

After the nationwide vote, Sam Woolf was revealed to have received the lowest number of votes and was in danger in elimination. He chose to perform "Babylon" by David Grey. He put his heart and soul into the performance, but would it be enough?

Alex Preston grabbed the last safe spot for the evening.

Randy Jackson opened the Top 8 Results show by giving his take on how the performers did on Wednesday night. While Randy thought all eight contestants had "solid" performances, he predicted that Caleb, Jessica, Dexter and Jena would definitely be safe! How would the results pan out? The save is still in play tonight. Will the judges use their one lifeboat to pull a talented contestant out of the water?

Chris Daughtry then returned to the IDOL™ stage with his band, Daughtry. The talented singer has already been involved with IDOL™ this season when he acted as a mentor at Randy Jackson's workshop.

The first person declared safe was Dexter Roberts. Off to the lounge with him!

The band performed their new single, "Waiting For Superman."

Jena Irene was declared safe after Dexter. So far, two of Randy's picks have been correct.
