The judges animatedly discussed Emily's passionate performance, but failed to give her the wild card and the Florida native was sent packing! It's sad to see Emily go, but the competition continues next week WED & THU on FOX!

Caleb, MK, C.J., and Malaya were called down to the stage for the results of America's vote. After looking back at their Top 12 performances, Ryan swiftly announced that Caleb, C.J. and Malaya were safe. That put MK in the bottom three and in danger of elimination.

Emily, Jena and MK nervously waited for Ryan to reveal who received the lowest number of votes. He called Jena and MK safe before revealing that Latina Emily Piriz was the contestant with the least amount of votes and in danger of elimination.

Randy introduced Irish band, Kodaline to IDOL™. The Irish band is topping the charts in their native country and the UK.

Emily chose to perform "Stars" by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals as her "save me" song. She gave an emotional and passionate performance, but would it be enough for the judges to save her?

Jena, Dexter, Majesty and Alex were the next contestants called to the stage for results. All the contestants received constructive criticism from the judges, but what did America decide? Dexter, Majesty and Alex were safe, but Jena Irene was headed to the bottom three.

Kodaline performed their soulful hit, "All I Want" live. Love Kodaline? The band is currently on tour. Visit their website for details.

The judges and the audience were cheering Phillip on enthusiastically during his performance of "Raging Fire," which sounds like it is bound to be a hit! The single is available on iTunes now. Check it out.

The show opened with a special performance by the Top 12 performing Phillip Phillip's "Home." This wasn't your ordinary results show opener, however, as the performance we saw was a pre-recorded rendition that the contestants filmed themselves. What a perfect pick! After all, the theme of the week was "Home" and Phillip Phillips was on hand to perform his latest song, "Raging Fire," live. The night also afforded a great performance from the up and coming Irish band, Kodaline.

Phillip said that returning to IDOL™ was "almost like a blind date, but you know who it is." If Phillip was nervous he certainly didn't show it and worked the stage as if he had never left.

Ryan called Emily, Sam, Jessica and Ben to the stage for their results. Randy coached each of the Top 12 before their performances and we got to see a little bit of their sessions before the results were revealed. Ryan called Emily's name first and wasted no time in sending her into the bottom three. Sam, Jessica and Ben were safe!

Phillip Phillips returned to the IDOL™ stage to perform his latest single, "Raging Fire." Phillip won IDOL™ back in Season 11 and his coronation song, "Home," became a nationwide hit! Phillip is currently working in the studio on his sophomore album.

Before Ryan got down to the nitty gritty releasing the first results of the night, Harry Connick Jr. took time to address the contestants on the nature of his criticism. It's no secret that Harry has been the most critical judge of the season, even earning the nickname Harsh Harry that has trended on Twitter several times. Harry told the Top 12 that he only has a short time to make the contestants "grow." He added that Season XIII's finalists are the "best group of talent since the first year," but he didn't see it last night. OUCH!
