Thursday, Oct 25th 2012Season 11's is scheduled to perform the National Anthem for the Los Angeles Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon THIS Sunday! She will perform for over 12,000 runners all decked out in costumes for the Halloween themed race! There will even be a Halloween costume contest at the finish line.The race benefits the ASPCA and will help provide life-saving programs and services to millions of animals in need nationwide. The ASPCA is the first humane organization established in the Americas and it serves as the nation's leading voice for animal welfare.Skylar's career is going strong, just last week it was announced that she'll be "flipping the switch" and performing at Graceland's annual Lighting ceremony on November 16th.Congratulations, Skylar.

Wednesday, Oct 24th 2012Elvis Presley?s Graceland in Memphis will officially begin the holiday season with its annual lighting ceremony on Friday, November 16. Season 11's Skylar Laine will "flip the switch" and officially light the Graceland property and kick off the holiday festivities. Skylar will also perform a few songs, including some holiday favorites.
The extensive Christmas display includes hundreds of blue lights along the driveway, a life-size Nativity scene, Santa and his sleigh, and much more, all originally displayed at Graceland by Elvis and the Presley family. The free lighting event is open to the public.
Regular paid tours of Graceland will operate the day of the lighting ceremony from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The interiors of Graceland mansion will feature Elvis' Christmas decor starting on November 16 through January. Included will be his traditional red velvet drapes as well as Presley family Christmas artifacts on display around several trees throughout the home.
