Season 5’s successful country artist, Kellie Pickler, released her third album today. Named 100 Proof, the 11-song album includes six tracks co-penned by Kellie. One track, “Mother’s Day,” was co-written by Kellie and her husband, Kyle Jacobs. The first single off the album, “Tough,” was released over the summer and peaked at #30 on the Billboard Country Songs chart. Her goal for 100 Proof was to create a traditional and fresh sounding country album that pays homage to her musical influences like Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, and Tammy Wynette. To achieve her goal, Kellie enlisted producers Frank Liddell and Luke Wooten.
