Season 5’s Bucky Covington celebrates his birthday today! Although it’s been over five years since he appeared on American Idol, Bucky continues to be busy with his music.

Last month, Bucky announced that he has a new record deal in place with Entertainment One Music Group, and has plans to release new music this winter! Bucky joined the label as their premier Country talent, and said, “I am very excited and can’t wait to get the party started and share my new music with my fans." Bucky is busy in the studio writing and recording new music. Fans attending his shows this year can expect to hear a sampling of the new material.

After going on tour with the Top 10 of Season 5, Bucky released his self-titled debut CD, which opened at #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and delivered consecutive Top 10 hit singles including “A Different World,” “It’s Good To Be Us,” and “I’ll Walk.” The charitable Idol often performs to support organizations and causes. Two years ago, Bucky cheered up sick children at Vanderbilt Hospital and Ronald McDonald House, and he performed a free hometown concert and encouraged people to donate canned goods to Backpack Pals and Our Daily Bread.

Catch the Birthday Boy this week at The Holiday in Olney, IL on November 11th, and at The Pulse in Jacksonville, IL on November 12th!

Happy Birthday, Bucky! As a twin, Bucky isn't celebrating his birthday alone. His brother Rocky is also turning 34.
