Season 2’s American Idol, Ruben Studdard, has announced the inaugural Ruben Studdard Celebration Weekend, dedicated to bringing health, wellness, fitness, and fun to Birmingham, AL, will take place November 18-20. Proceeds benefit The Ruben Studdard Foundation for the Advancement of Children in the Music Arts. The Ruben Studdard Celebration Weekend will feature great music, entertainment, and a family fitness festival. The marquee running events include a half marathon, 5K, and the “Linn Park Lap”--a short fun run/walk for all ages! All running and fitness events will take place in Downtown Birmingham around the historic Linn Park City Center.
