American Idol winner Fantasia’s newest album, Back To Me, sold nearly 117,000 entering her on The Billboard 200 chart at #2. She was the only Idol alum that made the Billboard chart's Top 40 this week. Carrie Underwood, Adam Lambert, and Chris Daughtry also have albums in the Top 200. In addition, Fantasia's album debuted at #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop albums chart. The American Idols have now accumulated 279 #1s to date, counting all national, domestic charts compiled by the Billboard Information Group:

Season 8’s runner-up, Adam Lambert, has the #1 spot on the American Idol airplay chart with "If I Had You." In the newest chart information courtesy of USA Today, the third single off of For Your Entertainment totaled 5,246 spins in the past week. This marks the first time that Adam has totaled over 5,000 spins in a single week.
To honor Loretta Lynn’s 50th career anniversary, a diverse group of artists has contributed tracks for the November 9 album release of Coal Miner’s Daughter: A Tribute to Loretta Lynn. Carrie Underwood was personally chosen by Lynn alongside other popular artists such as Sheryl Crow, Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, and The White Stripes to name a few. “I am so happy that these singers wanted to do this record,” says Loretta. “I love ‘em all, and it was so great to hear all the different ways they did my hits,” she said, referring to how each artist recorded with their own choice of producer and musicians. “I hope people like it as much as I do and we sell a bunch of records!”
Season 8’s Anoop Desai who has been selected by Clear Channel Music and iheartradio as one of the "Artists to Watch" for September 2010. His single "All Is Fair (Crazy Love)" is the second most played on-demand song on iheartradio's NEW! Discover & Uncover channel as of Tuesday. Anoop just announced additional dates and cities for his fall tour, which include Carrboro, NC on October 8, Greensboro, NC on October 9, and Atlanta, GA on October 21.
Kris Allen spent the summer touring with Barenaked Ladies and then Maroon 5. He continues his cross country trek by jumping on the Lifehouse tour this fall.
