Kris Allen’s music video for “The Truth” is making its television debut today, August 17. The Season 8 American Idol tweeted photos from the video shoot, taken in a beautiful desert where Kris performed his own stunts! While shooting in the California desert, “The Truth” crew was met by a monsoon which turned the land into quicksand-like conditions. “The Truth” is Kris’ third single off his self-titled album which he recorded with Train front-man Pat Monahan.
Season 8’s runner-up also has a big release today. Adam Lambert’s “If I Had You Remixed” EP is available today, exclusively on Adam’s Official Music Store. The EP includes these tracks:

On Thursday, August 19th, Season 8 finalist Matt Giraud will be performing at the Champions for Children Concert in Michigan. The proceeds will benefit the Big Brothers Big Sisters – A Community for Caring organization. Here are the details:

Season 6’s American Idol, Jordin Sparks, makes her Broadway debut this Thursday, August 19 in the Tony-winning hit musical In The Heights. Her run as Nina Rosario at the Richard Rodgers Theatre ends November 14 – don’t miss it! Learn more about Jordin’s Broadway debut.
Season 3’s American Idol, Fantasia, made it to #1 on the Adult R&B chart with her single “Bittersweet” after holding at #4 for a few weeks. The single is off Fantasia’s upcoming album, Back To Me, which drops a week from today – August 24, 2010. The third Idol winner performed “Bittersweet” on a Season 9 results show.
