Season 4 American Idol Carrie Underwood’s latest single, “Temporary Home,” is now her 12th #1 single of her career. It’s also the second chart-topper from Carrie’s Platinum-certified album, Play On. The track made it to the top of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart in just 18 weeks, which is faster than any other single this year.

“Temporary Home” is one of the seven tracks that Carrie co-wrote for her third album, and it’s her fifth co-written single to top the charts. On Carrie’s website she said that the song is “hopeful, and each person in each story, in each different place in their life, knows that things are going to be okay.”

The Oklahoma native is currently touring around the nation on her “Play On Tour.” See which town near you she’s stopping at, here.
