Carrie Underwood is Engaged!
The Season 4 American Idol, Carrie Underwood, got engaged yesterday to her boyfriend, Mike Fisher of the Ottawa Senators hockey team. Her rep confirmed the exciting news with the media today stating, "I'm happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn't be happier…No wedding date has been set at this time." In addition, Mike confirmed the engagement himself during press interviews at this morning's hockey practice.
Carrie normally keeps her personal life private, but she recently alluded to Mike in one of the sketches (starring her dog, Ace) on her All-Star Holiday Special. The country crooner also professed her love for Mike in the liner notes of her new album, Play On: "Thank you # 12. You are the most amazing addition to my life! You are such a wonderful person and have had such an amazing hand in the building of this album and in the growth of me as a person. I love you so much! You make my life better in every way!"
