Season 5 finalist Bucky Covington is showing no signs of slowing down. He's had a very busy few months, and 2010 is shaping up to be a big year for the country star.

Just last week, Bucky released his brand new music video for his current single, "Gotta Be Somebody." The single, which was a #1 hit for rock group Nickelback, has been climbing the country charts. "Gotta Be Somebody" will be on Bucky's much anticipated sophomore album, I'm Alright. Mark your calendar – the CD is scheduled to be released  sometime this spring. Bucky's self-titled debut CD opened at #1 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart in April 2007 with the biggest first week sales for any debut country artist that year. He's the best selling debut artist of the 2007 class and is one of only three male country artists since 2005 to have three consecutive top 10 singles from his debut album.

Two weeks ago, Bucky headlined the Comcast Concert Series Post-Race show following the NASCAR Nationwide Series Kroger on Track For The Cure 250 at Memphis Motorsports Park. The free show treated the NASCAR crowd to an energetic set from Bucky.

On September 25, 2009, Bucky returned to his hometown of Rockingham, North Carolina to perform his first hometown concert since competing on Idol. The free concert benefited two charities: Backpack Pals and Our Daily Bread.

In September, AmericanIdol.com chatted with Bucky to find out more about his hometown concert, upcoming album, and more. Read the full interview.

As a twin, Bucky isn't celebrating his birthday alone. His brother Rocky is also turning 32.

Happy Birthday, Bucky!
