Stephanie Edwards was a Top 12 finalist on the sixth season of American Idol. She is one of the reasons why Simon Cowell said Season 6 is all about the female singers.

Since appearing on Idol, Stephanie recorded a charity single called "On Our Way" to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's "Light the Night Walk." The song was released in October 2007 as a CD single. In April of 2008, she released her second single, "Here I Am." Stephanie performs in her hometown of Savannah, Georgia, but she has also gone back to college. As a student at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah, Stephanie is pursuing a degree in psychology. In 2008, Stephanie told USA TODAY, "You need that backup and the education behind you. It makes you a more well-rounded person."
