American Idol Carrie Underwood was in Singapore last week visiting with Asian media and promoting her upcoming album release, Play On. The album will be released November 2 in Singapore and various parts of Asia, and November 3 in the U.S. While in Singapore, Carrie performed for fans as part of the grand opening of ION Orchard, an iconic and luxurious shopping center with futuristic and internationally award-winning architecture, also the largest open-air sheltered venue in the city. The concert was broadcast live throughout the city and was also screened on the ION Orchard's façade.

Life has been busy for the four-time Grammy Award winner, ACM Entertainer of the Year, and reigning, three-time CMA and ACM Female Vocalist winner. In addition to releasing her CD in November, she will co-host the CMA Awards on November 11 and have her own two-hour variety special – Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special – airing Monday, December 7 from 8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT on FOX.
