The Country Music Association awards are less than a month away, and today Daughtry was added to the line-up of performers. The Grammy-nominated rock band, led by Season 5 Idol finalist Chris Daughtry, will perform on the CMA Awards show with Country Music Hall of Fame member Vince Gill. They will perform the song "Tennessee Line" off of Daughtry's sophomore album, Leave This Town. Debuting at No.1 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart in July, Leave This Town became Daughtry's second consecutive album to top the charts. In 2006, Daughtry released their self-titled first album, which was the quickest-selling rock debut album in SoundScan history, selling more than five million copies worldwide.

Chris Daughtry won't be the only Idol alum performing at the CMA Awards. Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood will not only be performing, but she's also co-hosting the award show for the second year in a row with Brad Paisley. In addition, Carrie is nominated for two awards: "Female Vocalist Of The Year" and "Musical Event Of The Year."
