The Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA, www.curesarcoma.org) is pleased to announce that Anthony Fedorov will be the organizations 2007 spokesperson to promote general awareness of the disease and drive the organizations fundraising efforts to find a cure. This will kick off the charitable drive for SFAs campaign in the new year, and be the inaugural effort for new Executive Director, Matthew Alsante. Anthony will also perform at SFAs Annual Gala held May 21st, 2007, which will take place at New Yorks Marriot Marquis Hotel.

Mr. Alsante noted, We are thrilled to have Anthony represent our voice to the public and bring better awareness and education to the doctors throughout the United States. He added, Anthonys recent loss of his brother from this disease is one of the countless stories we hear from our patients and survivors. Since approximately 20% of all cancers in children are sarcoma, it is even more important to provide a national focus. We know Anthony will help spread our message, and in turn, facilitate research funding for the cure, Mr. Alsante said in closing.

Anthony's brother, Denis, was 28 when he succumbed to the disease earlier this year. Although he continues to focus on his music and performing throughout the country, this cause is paramount to him and his family. Sarcoma is very rare and not easily diagnosed, yet Anthony feels his initiative will be most helpful to patients around the globe.

He stated, I am helping SFA in memory of Denis, and will do as much as I can to raise the awareness and fight this battle. Its one small contribution I can make, and I will put my heart into this effort, Anthony said. Im committed to SFA, and to finding a cure for the countless people stricken with this disease.
