Season 6's Sanjaya Malakar made a name for himself as one of the most talked about Idols in the show's history. Whether it was his creative hair styles, crying fans, or over-the-top performances, Sanjaya always knew how to put on a show.

Earlier this year, Sanjaya released his debut EP called Dancing to the Music in my Head. This spring, Sanjaya competed in another reality television show in which he had to battle the outdoor elements instead of musical notes.

Last night, Sanjaya celebrated his birthday with a performance at B.B. King Blues Club and Grill in New York city. At the event, Sanjaya was joined by his sister Shyamali, who also auditioned for Season 6 of American Idol. Read more about the show, here.
