Season 4's American Idol, Carrie Underwood, received two Country Music Association Awards nominations this morning for Female Vocalist Of The Year and Music Event Of The Year (for her recording with Randy Travis of his earlier hit "I Told You So"). Not only is Carrie up for two big awards, but she's also co-hosting the awards show with Brad Paisley for the second year in a row. Read more about Carrie's hosting gig.

On October 2nd, the Grand Ole Opry will be joining the fight against breast cancer by "going pink." Carrie will take the stage to flip the switch which will turn the Opry's signature barn backdrop from red to pink. Also, Carrie will be one of the country artists singing at this event which will support Women Rock for the Cure and Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

The charitable Carrie recently started a foundation of her own. Find out more about it, here.
