American Idol Carrie Underwood, today, was nominated for 4 Country Music Awards, including:
- Top Female Artist
- Top New Female Artist
- Single Record of the Year: Jesus, Take the Wheel
- Song of the Year: Jesus, Take the Wheel
This is the first time Carrie has been nominated for a Country Music Award and if she wins in both the Top New Female Vocalist and Top Female Vocalist of the Year categories, she will only be the second artist to do so in the Academy's 41 year history.
