American Idol judge Randy Jackson has accomplished a lot in his career and in his life. He's worked as a musician with Carlos Santana and Jerry Garcia before getting his big break in the band Journey. He then went on to collaborate with many other artists including Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and more. Randy spent eight years as the Vice President of A&R at Columbia Records, and then became Senior V.P. of A&R at MCA Records for four years. He has even won a Grammy Award for his role as a producer.

On all eight seasons of American Idol, Randy Jackson has served as the judge known for providing honest feedback punctuated by "dude" and "dawg." Randy has launched his own radio countdown show, published a nutrition book, and produced a successful reality dance show. In 2008, Randy released an album called "Randy Jackson's Music Club, Vol. 1." Randy collaborated with many famous artists on this CD which also included the single "Dance Like There's No Tomorrow" sung by Paula Abdul, and "Real Love" by Season 5 Idol finalists Katharine McPhee and Elliott Yamin. As a diabetic, Randy Jackson has gotten involved with many diabetes charities. Last month, Randy was the spokesperson for National Train Day in Washington D.C.
