Season 5 finalist Kevin Covais was an 11th place finisher on American Idol. Although Kevin was only 16 during his run on the show, he often chose to sing mature ballads. Fellow Season 5 contestant Paris Bennett is credited with nicknaming Kevin "Chicken Little," and the name stuck with him from that moment on.

Since his time on Idol, Kevin has been bit by the acting bug, starring in one major motion picture and one TV movie. Earlier this season, Kevin joined Kimberly Caldwell and Justin Guarini on Idol Wrap. He mentioned that he hasn't ruled out a career in music, but he has been enjoying the acting path. However, Kevin rapped with Paris Bennett on her debut CD.

Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 11 years old, Kevin is now a Youth Ambassador for the American Diabetes Association.
