Season 7's 8th place finisher, Michael Johns, landed on the charts this week with his new single, "Heart On My Sleeve." The song debuted at number 27 on the Adult Contemporary chart, making him the 41st Idol finalist and 42 Idol contestant (counting non-finalist William Hung) to chart. Michael becomes the 6th Season 7 finalist to make his way to the charts.

"Heart On My Sleeve" is a song off Michael Johns' debut CD, "Hold Back My Heart." The CD is scheduled for a June 23 release. While you are waiting for the CD to drop, you can purchase "Heart On My Sleeve" on iTunes.

Michael is proof, once again, that you don't need to win American Idol to become a successful artist.
