Over the past several years, American Idol finalists have been taking over the various Billboard charts with their hit songs. Of the past seven seasons, 40 finalists have landed on the billboard charts and non-finalist William Hung makes 41! To add to that impressive statistic, there have been 225 #1 hits from American Idol finalists on the Billboard charts.

The latest Idol to make the charts is Season 6's LaKisha Jones. Her debut single, "Let's Go Celebrate," just landed a spot on the Adult R&B chart. We caught up with LaKisha this week to discuss her new CD. Also making waves this week is Jennifer Hudson. Her song "Spotlight" is currently number one on the Adult R&B Recurrants chart. Jennifer performed on American Idol last week, and we caught up with her after the show.
