Jasmine Trias took on power ballads with grace during Season 3 of American Idol. She will be back in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 8, 2009 to perform at the Ford Amphitheatre for the Bahay Kubo Center for Philippine Culture and Arts' "The Music of Life" concert. Jasmine will be performing with other Premier Filipino performers including a cappella group Three of a Kind, Philippine Chamber Singers of LA, Harana Men's Chorus, and Lara Avengoza. All of the performers will sing the music of famed Filipino composer Ryan Cayabyab.

Jasmine took third place during her season, and she was known for wearing a flower in her hair to represent her home state of Hawaii. In 2005, she released a self-titled CD. Jasmine has appeared on many TV shows and even performed with the Society of Seven in Las Vegas during 2007. In addition to Jasmine's popularity in America, she has had a very successful career in Asia and has been in campaign commercials and billboards for McDonald's, Smart Telecommunications, Hapee Toothpaste, and Bench Clothing. Trias has also won many awards for her music in Hawaii and the Philippines.
