It's Your Party: Hometown Heroes

It's the moment that THEY had all been waiting for! The Top 3 remaining contestants — Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez, and Joshua Ledet — returned to their hometowns this week as American Idol heroes. Joshua performed at the Burton Coliseum in Lake Charles, Louisiana (he's from Westlake, a Lake Charles suburb); Jessica returned to Eastlake Middle School in Chula Vista, California; and Phillip headed back to Leesburg, Georgia, to eat some chicken and cheese nachos!

Party Tip Of The Week

For your Idol "Hometown Heroes" viewing party this week, ask your guests to find a way to represent THEIR hometowns. Whether they're from a suburban paradise or an urban mecca or from a locale famous for farms or factories or surfing or skiing, everybody should bring a prop or come in costume to reflect the best of their 'hood. The guest with the most hometown pride wins an iTunes download from their favorite finalist! You could also make stickers that say "PRIDE OF," and everyone fills in the blank with their hometown. Buy them on Zazzle, or DIY!

Represent your hometown with this week's delectable Kraft recipes. They include Cheesy Chicken & Broccoli Mac, Lemon Crusted Tuscan Chicken, and Harvest Pasta Bake.

It's Your Party: California Dreamin'

Have you been California Dreamin' lately? So have our Idols! This week, the Top 4 will perform #1 hits by bands or singers from the Golden State. For your Idol viewing party, ask your guests to choose THEIR favorite California artist. Some ideas include Katy Perry, Green Day, Cher, the Beach Boys, Jerry Garcia, and Adam Lambert (he was born in Indiana but raised in California).

Party Tip Of The Week

Give everyone the opportunity to come in costume (a blue wig for Katy Perry, "guyliner" for Green Day OR Adam Lambert). Or they could honor the California theme another way: wearing a Baja hoodie, a bikini top or swim trunks, or even a blonde wig and a faux tan. Decorate your party pad with a poster of the Hollywood sign, and you'll be ready to party like a valley girl (or guy). Bonus: Cheap sunglasses make fun favors, and your guests will look great wearing them in the party pictures you post online!

Spread some sunshine with this week's scrumptious Kraft recipes. They include Mac & Cheese Skillet Lasagna, Savory Turkey Meatball Salad, and Crispy Stuffed Shells.

It's Your Party: British Invasion

The British Invasion is coming to American Idol this week, with the Top 5 singing songs from their favorite artists from across the Atlantic. Will it be Beatlemania? Brit-pop? We're not sure, but we do know that Anglophilia will make a perfect theme for your Idol viewing party.

Party Tip Of The Week

Put the British flag on your invitations, and when decorating your party pad, be sure to hang the Union Jack so it's the first thing your guests see when they enter. Then dust off your best china and tea cups for the food and drinks — everything should be fit for the Queen, of course. You can even have a contest to see who has the best faux-British accent!

Impress your guests with this week's delectable Kraft recipes. They include Confetti Mac & Cheese, Bistro Beef & Jack Sandwich, and Cheesy Roasted Cauliflower.

While the finalists are rehearsing their favorite Queen songs, ask your Idol viewing party guests to prep their own. Whether it's "Bohemian Rhapsody," "Somebody to Love," "Under Pressure," "We Are the Champions," "We Will Rock You," or one of the band's countless other hits, ask your party guests to participate in a little Queen singalong. Hint: Big hair helps! Decorate your party pad with printouts of Queen album covers, and whoever sings the best tune wins an iTunes download of their favorite Queen song.

It's Your Party: Now & Then

After last week's dramatic judges' save, Colton, Elise, Hollie, Jessica, Joshua, Skylar, and Phillip are all still in the competition! This week we'll get to hear two songs from our Top 7. The theme is "Now & Then," so each of the contestants will be performing one song from "now" — a #1 Billboard hit from 2000 to 2012 — and one classic soul song.

Party Tip Of The Week

For your "Now & Then" Idol viewing party, ask your guests to dress up as their favorite artist from "Now" or "Then" — meaning, they can pick just about anyone! They should also come prepared to sing a song from their selected artist, or at least hum or whistle!

Decorate your party pad with a variety of pictures of your favorite pop stars from past and present (you can print photos you find on the Internet). Ask your friends in advance which artist they plan to emulate, and create stickers or pin-on badges labeled "Now" and "Then." At the end of evening, decide which "team" did it better, the "Nows" or the "Thens"!

Infuse some soul into your party with this week's savory Kraft recipes. They include Easy Layered Taco Bake, Garden Fresh Grilled Cheese, and Cheesy Chorizo Frittata.
