Perhaps our two most successful American Idol winners to date both won big at last night's Grammy Awards.
Kelly Clarkson was awarded one of the night's biggest honors, taking home the award for Best Pop Vocal Album for Stronger. After tripping over Miranda Lambert on the way up to stage, she gave a heartfelt and funny acceptance speech. Kelly also took the stage to perform at last night's award ceremony when she sang "Tennesse Waltz" in honor of Pattie Page and then went into "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" to pay tribute to Carole King.
Carrie Underwood took home her 6th Grammy when she won the award for Best Country Solo Performance for her hit "Blown Away." Carrie's dress also made waves when she performed "Blown Away" and "Two Black Cadillacs." The dress lit up with different images during both performances, acting like a digital projector!
With these two wins Idol alumni have now scored an impressive 11 Grammy awards!
Congratulations Kelly and Carrie!
