This past week has been a great one for IDOL™ alumni. Some of our most influential stars have been releasing new music and rising up the charts. Check out the latest now.

The original Idol and international star Kelly Clarkson just scored her fourth consecutive No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart with her single, “People Like Us.” The single marks Kelly's 84th Billboard No. 1. The single is fast moving up the Adult Contemporary, Mainstream Top 40, Adult Top 40 and the Hot 100 charts. Kelly also released her newest single, “Tie It Up” on the 19th. The tune was inspired by her upcoming marriage to finance Brandon Blackstock. Congratulations, Kelly.

Season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino has two hits on the charts right now, both from her latest album, Side Effects of You. Her first single from the album “Lose to Win” is holding strong at No. 4 on the Adult R&B chart. Her most recent single, “Without Me” featuring Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliott, recently debuted at No. 31 on the Adult R&B chart and devuted on the Bubbling Under the Hot 100 list at No. 16. Looks like Fantasia has a surprise in store for her fans! It was recently announced that Fantasia will be returning to Broadway this October to perform in a yet to be disclosed show. 

Phillip Phillips has continued success with his newest single, “Gone.” The hit rose to No. 15 on the Adult Contemporary chart, No. 43 on the Hot 100 chart, and No. 39 on the Hot Digital Songs chart. “Gone” continues to hold strong at No. 4 on the Rock Digital Songs chart and at No. 5 on the Hot Rock Songs chart.

In other music news, Season 4 winner, Carrie Underwood has just hit the top 10 on the Hot Country Songs list with her newest single, “See You Again.” Mandisa's new single, “Overcomer” has jumped up the No. 24 on the Christian Songs Charts. Jordan Sparks' “The Way” continues to hold strong in the top 10 of the Hot 100. Scotty McCreery's “See You Tonight” jumps to No. 37 on the Country Airplay Charts.
