Season 11's Colton Dixon is joining four-time GRAMMY Award-winning band Third Day on The Miracle Tour, a 45-city trek that is scheduled to launch Feb. 21, in Fairfax, Va., and will hit major markets like Memphis, Dallas, Birmingham, Atlanta, Nashville, Indianapolis, Grand Rapids, Chicago and many more before wrapping up in mid-May. Songwriter Josh Wilson also joins Third Day on tour.
A special VIP package will be available for The Miracle Tour ticket buyers, including a premium-seat concert ticket, an exclusive Third Day tour poster, a Miracle CD and entry to a special pre-show event. A group ticket package will be offered, along with Fan Club pre-sale dates.
The Miracle Tour is sponsored in part by Christian humanitarian organization World Vision and Grand Canyon University. World Vision provides assistance to approximately 100 million people in nearly 100 countries by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice.
Colton recently signed a major recording deal with EMI CMG Label Group/Sparrow Records, with plans to release his anticipated debut album in January of 2013. The album?s first single, titled "You Are," is currently impacting radio stations across the country. A Tennessee native, Dixon participated in the American Idol LIVE! Tour and debuted "Never Gone," an original song which will appear on his upcoming album, marking the first time an Idol contestant has performed an original song, which he or she has co-written, on any American Idol tour.
