Season 7 winner, David Cook returns to IDOL on Thursday's results show to perform! The talented singer is showcasing his new single, "Laying Me Low."

The fabulous four were all saved from elimination last week, but this week one girl will definitely be leaving the competition. Harry Connick, Jr. will act as the ladies mentor on Wednseday and he'll return Thursday night to perform his hit, "Every Man Should Know."

Remember, last week's vote totals for each contestant are going to be combined with this week's and the girl with the lowest number of votes will be leaving the competition. Make sure your favorite doesn't get cut! Tune in Wednesday at 8/7c on FOX and VOTE!

Next month's Billboard Music Awards will highlight the best and brightest in entertainment, so it's no wonder that Idols past and present will be represented at the premiere event. Former contestants and current judges will be featured in a whopping eleven categories!

Carrie Underwood is nominated for Top Country Artist Award, while her album "Blown Away" got the nod for Top Country Album. Idol alum Phillip Phillips nabbed the Top Rock Album nomination for "The World From The Side Of The Moon" as well as a Top Rock Song nomination for his song "Home." IDOL judge Nicki Minaj is up for seven awards: Top Female Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Dance Song, Top R&B Song (with Alicia Keys), Top Streaming Artist, Top Rap Artist, and Top Rap Album!

The winners will be announced at the Billboard Music Awards on May 19th!

Speaking of Idols past and present, former contestants have had their records certified an incredible 165 times! The staggering number was recently bolstered by Season 4 Winner Carrie Underwood, who's songs "Cowboy Casanova" and "Blown Away" was certified 2x Platinum while her single "Two Black Cadillacs" was certified Gold. 

This brings the grand haul to 90 gold records and 75 platinum records!

Meanwhile, Season 11 Winner Phillip Phillips has done it again! His hit single, "Gone, Gone, Gone" rocketed to #1 on the Adult Album Alternative chart, making this is 12th #1 overall.

Phillips is now tied with Season 2 runner-up Clay Aiken for 8th place among all Idols with the most chart-topping titles. Combined, past Idols have accounted for 384 #1s to date! This includes all national, domestic charts compiled by the Billboard Information Group!

IDOL Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez lights up the small screen as she makes her long awaited debut on the hit television show 'Glee,' The Hollywood Reporter notes.

The seventeen year old will feature on the upcoming episode, entitled "Lights Out" for the award-winning musical comedy-drama, and will appear in future episodes throughout the season. Sanchez has also been taking acting classes in order to prepare for her role as a singer from a rival school.

Jessica's high-energy, beat-soaked debut album, Me, You & the Music, will be released April 30th on 19 Recordings/Interscope Records and is available now for pre-order at iTunes.
