- How did you make the final decision to try out for AI?
- I made up my mind like the day before that I was going to audition. I knew was what I have always wanted to do with my life!! I am so glad I made that decision.
- What one moment in past AI seasons will you always remember?
- The final night in season one when Kelly Clarkson performed "A Moment Like This": she was so happy because she won and she could barely sing because of joy.
- What song would you LOVE to sing on AI?
- "At Last" by Etta James.
- If you could perform with any person or group, who would it be and why?
- I would like to perform with Chris Brown. He is an amazing performaer and entertainer and he would be so much fun to perform with.
- If you could redo any moment in your life, what would it be and why?
- I could probably redo my firstaudition in Jacksonville. I would choose a different song to audition with so the judges would have a better first impression.
- What's been the most surprising part of the Idol experience so far?
- Right before my Jacksonville auditions, we all had to stand out in the rain for hours before we could go inside.
- What's been the scariest part of the Idol experience so far?
- The final judgement right before I found out if I made the Top 36, I was so afraid and nervous at the same time.
- How do you combat stage fright?
- I take deep breaths and I pray for confidence.
- What makes a great performer?
- A person who has great stage presence and is entertaining.
- How has music moved you?
- Music is the most important thing in my life and has made me so much more open to different styles and genres of singing.
- What was the first concert you attended?
- I have actually never been to a concert, but I look forward to going to one, one day.
- If you could perform in any venue in the world, where would that be?
- Madison Square Garden.
- Who's been your favorite Idol thus far?
- Carrie Underwood.
- Who is the person that you would most like to meet?
- Justin Timberlake.
- If you have 24 hours to do anything you wanted, what would you do?
- I would fly to Paris, France and see the beautiful sights, eat French food and visit the malls.
- Who are your musical influences?
- Christina Aguilera, Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Whiteny Houston and Alicia Keys.
- How do you plan on differentiating yourself in the competition?
- I think my voice will set me apart from the others in this competition.
- If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
- I would like to be taller. I'm 5'4", but I would like to be 5'7".
- What's been your favorite moment so far?
- When all of the judges voted for me me to be in the Top 36!
- Do you think the audition process was fair?
- Yes, I think it was totally fair. I beleive everything happens for a reason and that God has a plan for everyone's life.
- Do you have any good luck charms?
- I have a cross that I have had for years.
- What would people be surprised to learn about you?
- I still don't have my driver's license, but I enjoy riding in the car instead of driving.
- Who is your favorite judge and why?
- Paula Abdul is my favorite judge because she is such a nice person. She is also very talented and she always has something positive to say about someone.
- If you couldn't sing, which talent would you most like to have?
- I would like to be able to dance professionally.
- What's your proudest moment?
- When I received my Golden Ticket to Hollywood and when I was asked to sing at the Miss America Pageant this year.
- What's your most embarrassing moment?
- When I was younger and I wanted to be an iceskater, so I used to pretend with my socks on the kitchen floor and once I fell in front of my mom.
- Do you have any rituals or things you do before you perform?
- I always pray and I drink Cranberry Apple Zinger Tea.
- What album would your friends be surprised you own?
- "The Open Door" by Evanescence.
- What are your personal goals in life?
- To obtain a BA in Musical Theatre or Vocal Performance.
- If you don't make it on American Idol, what will you do?
- I will continue to sing and perform. I am not giving up on my dream and I will continue to get my education.
- What other talents do you have?
- I played the clarinet and I like to act.
- Do you have any formal singing training?
- Yes.
- When did you first start to sing?
- When I was about 3 years old, a song came on the radio and I started singing and my family was shocked.
