How has music inspired you?
Music has always been a huge part of my life. I listen to music when I'm feeling down or just a certain way. I don't know what I'd do without it!
Do you have any formal singing training?
Nope.
What album would your friends be surprised you own?
I'm not really sure. I guess the strangest album I own would have to be Etta James, only because she's one of the older artists. My friends are mostly familiar with music that plays on the mainstream radio.
If you could perform with any person or group, who would it be and why?
So many people to choose from! I can't choose ... one of the people would probably have to be Beyonce. So many people compare me to her, I would just wonder how it would sound if we sang together! Plus, she's amazing.
What do you do to unwind after a performance?
I don't really have anything that I do. I just go with whatever comes to me!
Which theme week would be most challenging to you and why?
Probably country or rock. I've never tried to sing a country or rock song ever.
What theme week would you love to have for Season 11?
Motown!!!
What's your dream song to perform?

What makes a great performer?
I've been performing ever since I was seven so I've had the experience and practice to help me work on some things. I think stage presence is very important, just the way you present yourself to the audience.
How do you combat stage fright?
Like I said, I've been doing this ever since I was a real youngin' so I've had the practice and experience to work on some things.
How do you plan on differentiating yourself in the competition?
I think my genre of music is a lot different from any of the past idol winners or from my competition here. Everyone has their own style and I think I want to go more mainstream more 'Beyonce' style. I want to be the girl that can belt but can sing upbeat songs.
If you couldn't sing, what other talent would you most like to have?
Singing is literally my only talent. Ha-ha. I'd love to learn how to act though.
What has been the most unique job/chore you've ever had?
I've done a cricket commercial. That was pretty fun!
How would you define success in life?
Just being happy in the position that you're in. Not only being satisfied, but feeling accomplished.
What's the most embarrassing thing you've ever seen or experienced??
I've ran into a pole before.
What's your proudest moment in life outside of American Idol?
Being on 'America's Got Talent' when I was younger. That process was similar, but I got through it and learned from my mistakes. Great experience!
What would people be surprised to learn about you?
I've never had singing lessons.
If you have 24 hours to do anything you wanted, what would you do?
Everything and anything! I'm terrified of heights, but I would go do something extreme, just to live in the moment.
Who is the person that you would most like to meet?
I really wanted to meet Michael Jackson. I'm also dying to meet Eminem!!!
Do you have a favorite quote, phrase or personal motto / words to live by?
Work hard. Stay humble.
What's been the most surprising part of the Idol experience so far?
That I've made it this far! It's actually a lot harder than it looks!
What have you learned about yourself by going through the Idol audition process?
I'm a perfectionist. My worst critic! I love to learn though, new techniques and all. I will spend most my hours studying my music.
What are you hoping to get out of your Idol experience?
Just another chance to get my name out there. I want to go on tour and make music! I'm ready for it all and am working hard for it!
