How has music inspired you?

Music is the way I express myself. It's the number one way I worship.

Do you have any formal singing training?

Yes. Chorus throughout high school.

What album would your friends be surprised you own?

Space Jam soundtrack.

If you could perform with any person or group, who would it be and why?

Casting Crowns, so I could be a part of the ministry that they have. Amazing.

What do you do to unwind after a performance?

Pray.

Which theme week would be most challenging to you and why?

Stevie Wonder, because 1. Not something I listen to and 2. Nowhere near my style.

What theme week would you love to have for Season 11?

Rock week.

What's your dream song to perform?

'Everything' by Lifehouse.

What makes a great performer?

Their passion and connection to a song. The showmanship will follow if they mean what they are singing.

How do you combat stage fright?

I pray for peace and calm.

How do you plan on differentiating yourself in the competition?

I embrace being different. God created us all different. I think America already sees that.

If you could model your career after an artist, who would it be and why?

Daughtry, for staying true to who he was and still appealing to just about everyone.

If you couldn't sing, what other talent would you most like to have?

Talent to speak well. Same goal to spread the Gospel, but using a different tool.

What has been the most unique job/chore you've ever had?

Airbrush face-painting for sure.

How would you define success in life?

Being happy and content with what you have.

What's the most embarrassing thing you've ever seen or experienced??

Running over my girlfriend's dog while she was in the car with me.

What's your proudest moment in life outside of American Idol?

Just hearing people affected because of my music. Showed me I'm doing the right thing.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I was an extra in the Hannah Montana Movie. Ha-ha.

If you have 24 hours to do anything you wanted, what would you do?

Play music with friends and family all day.

Who is the person that you would most like to meet?

Ha-ha. Right now, Tim Tebow. Just to see how being surrounded by a secular environment affected his faith and how he managed to stay grounded.

Do you have a favorite quote, phrase or personal motto / words to live by?

Never give up. Never surrender. Ha-ha.

What's been the most surprising part of the Idol experience so far?

13th guy.

What have you learned about yourself by going through the Idol audition process?

That I have what it takes. I just need to have faith and believe that God has a plan for me.

The world to hear my story.
