KARA DIOGUARDI

Kara DioGuardi was recently honored with the 2009 Icon Award, which is granted by the National Music Publishers’ Association (NMPA) to outstanding songwriters for personal achievement. She is also a Grammy Award nominee, the 2007 BMI Pop Songwriter of the Year and a 2007 SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) Award winner.

One of the music industry’s most highly sought-after songwriters and producers, DioGuardi’s songs have appeared on more than 100 million records, and she has been awarded 10 BMI Pop Awards for having co-written the most-performed songs on the radio.

From her extensive catalog, 268 songs have been released on major labels worldwide and 168 others have appeared on multi-platinum-selling albums. Throughout her career, she has had nearly 40 international chart-topping hits and her songs have helped propel 45 albums into Billboard’s 200 Top Ten. DioGuardi’s work has been featured in major motion pictures, television shows, film soundtracks and radio spots, as well as in national and international commercial campaigns.

DioGuardi has collaborated with Grammy Award-winning artists Christina Aguilera, Santana, Kelly Clarkson, Céline Dion, Faith Hill, Carrie Underwoord, Marc Anthony and Pink. Other major recording artists, including Britney Spears, Avril Lavigne, Jonas Brothers, Leona Lewis, Pussycat Dolls, Hannah Montana, Daddy Yankee, Ashley Tisdale, David Archuleta, Clay Aiken, Jesse McCartney, Backstreet Boys, Ashlee Simpson, Hilary Duff, Demi Lovato, Jessica Simpson, Jewel and Nick Lachey, have recorded and released DioGuardi’s songs.

DioGuardi has achieved equal success internationally with hit singles for artists such as Enrique Iglesias, Anastacia, Ricky Martin, Kylie Minogue, RBD, Eros Ramazzotti and Thalia.

As co-owner of Arthouse Entertainment, DioGuardi develops and mentors fellow hit writers, producers, and artists. Within three years of Arthouse’s inception, the award-winning songstress and entrepreneur catapulted her company to No. 7 on Billboard’s chart of Top Ten national music publishers for the three consecutive quarters.

DioGuardi lives in Los Angeles.
