Monday, June 22nd Chicago - United Center
Founded in 1833, Chicago is now the third-most populous city in the United States. Last year, Chicago was named "City of the Year" by GQ for contributions in architecture and literature, and its world of politics. In addition, Chicago was home to President Barack Obama before he moved to the White House. Chicago is one of four candidate cities for hosting the 2016 Summer Olympics. Good luck, Chi-Town!

Transportation
Visiting "The Windy City" is a breeze thanks to an amazing public transportation system. If you plan to fly to Chicago, you have three airport options: Gary/Chicago International Airport, Midway International Airport, and O'Hare International airport, which is the world's second busiest airport. Bring your walking shoes, because it's easy to travel around Chicago by foot. You can travel around town and explore Chicago's major attractions through Chicago Transit Authority's easy and convenient subway lines, which include the famous "L" train. Hailing a cab is no problem in Chicago, but since the weather will be warm, you can ride a water taxi. The water taxis run along the Chicago River and offer a scenic and relaxing transportation alternative. Want to know a secret that some Chicagoans don't even know? Chicago has a downtown pedestrian walkway system of underground tunnels and overhead bridges. These walkways link over forty blocks in downtown Chicago. It's a convenient way to travel the Central Business District and connect to subway stations, but in the summer, you may prefer to enjoy the warm weather above ground. It's no wonder Chicago is the major transportation hub of the U.S.!
Sightseeing
Chicago is home to the Midwest's top tourist destination- the Navy Pier. Here you can find a 150-foot Ferris wheel, boat tours, dining and shopping. Visit the pier on Wednesday and Saturday nights during the summer season for a fireworks show. For a bird's eye view of the city, travel 103 floors to the Sears Tower Skydeck, atop the highest building in America. For free fun, visit the Lincoln Park Zoo. Chicago also boasts about their amazing shopping and dining. Experience fine dining, or grab a Chicago dog or deep dish pizza. Who's hungry?!
