East Rutherford

New York, New York: so nice, they named it twice. What more can be said about the city that doesn't sleep that hasn't already been said? Nothing, but that won't stop us from giving it a try! With a population of over 8 million in 300 square miles (and more than 21 million in the Metropolitan area), the area has something to offer everybody. From Broadway to Times Squire, from Coney Island to East Rutherford, whether you're longing for a hot dog, a slice of pizza, a once-in-a-lifetime exhibition or even a Yankee's game, you'll find it in the Big Apple.

Transportation

Located on the Eastern Seaboard, the New York City Metropolitan area is well within driving distance of multiple states up and down the East Coast, the Northeast and Pennsylvania. If you aren't driving over or taking the train, you've got three airports to choose from: La Guardia, JFK and Newark. Any of them will situate you just fine, but if you're staying close to the auditions in East Rutherford, you probably want to fly into Newark, if you can. If you're staying in East Rutherford, you may want to rent a car to get around. But, if you are staying in the City of New York, don't bother renting a car. You can get around just fine by foot, bus, subway and cab. And to get to the auditions, you can take a bus from Port Authority's 41st St. Bus Terminal in Manhattan.

Sightseeing

If we were going to auditions in East Rutherford, we'd make sure to pad our trip with a couple days before and after the auditions so that we could take in as much of the City as possible. No matter how much time you have, though, it probably won't be enough. Where to start? If it's museums you're attracted to, visit the Museum of Modern Art, The Guggenheim or the Metropolitan Museum of Art. You won't be disappointed. If it's shopping, stroll down 5th Avenue where world-class shops sit cheek by jowl. Want to do something a little more esoteric, visit the Village or SoHo and hang with an artier crowd. Of course, don't forget to visit Central Park, the Statue of Liberty and the New York Public Library, and while you're at it, cross the Brooklyn Bridge on foot or by bike, ice skate at Rockefeller Square or just people watch from a small café in the big city. New York City is what you make of it and if you can make it there... well, you know the rest. Enjoy!
