Jaded's Recap: Jaded's Cousin Weighs In

Hey everyone! I'm Will Sparks, Jaded's cousin. I'm here this week because Jaded asked me to cover for him. I couldn't be more thrilled. I'm the biggest fan ever of American Idol and watch the show religiously!

Now I know what people have been saying. Jaded is a tad bit mean, but he's my cousin so I don't want to say anything too bad. But I will say this, I think he's waaaaay out of line whenever he makes fun of Clay. And I think I can speak for all Clay fans out there, if it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't be listening to music at all. That's right, he's that good. So shame on you, Jaded. We can talk more over brunch next week.

Okay, I know everyone's a little down because the judges were so harsh this week. But I'm here to bring everyone back up! So get up everyone. Up, up! Let's talk about the idols!!!!! YEAH!

Don't you just love these kids? They're all so courageous. I wish I had that kind of courage to get up there and sing. Sure I've done it in the shower but man, I don't handle rejection all that well. :)

So Ryan, looking dapper as always, shows us some video of the judges after last night's show. Randy told us he thought Camile and Lisa would make it through and Paula agreed.

Simon however...okay as an aside, I like Simon. I think Simon is a wonderful human being. But some of the things he says? I just want to gasp! So what does he do? He said besides Camile there was no one else so he didn't even care! Why does he have to be so mean? :( Well Simon, you know who cares? I care. And so do the friends and families of the other contestants whose feelings you just hurt. Keep singing – all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking back, Paula said it must have been painful for the kids to watch their own performances. And America doesn't expect mediocrity. All I can say is WOW. I don't know how these kids don't break out crying right there. :(..... Randy also said it was tough because the kids really didn't deliver.

Well, I think they're wrong, in my eyes, all these kids are heroes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Back from the break. Ryan told us we can win stuff on The Ford Casting Call here at Idolonfox.com! Register to win! I wish I could enter – but I'm related to Jaded, so I can't.

So Ryan goes through the contestants. Noel, didn't get very high marks from the judges and the fans agreed. Looks like no kid brothers in the top 10 this year. :( Jesus? Well he didn't do so hot either. Fans agreed. But you know what, it's hard to get up there. So good for you Jesus! And you too Noel!

Next, Lisa. The judges thought she sang well, ah the suspense is killing me...FANS PUT HER IN THE TOP THREE! YEAH!!!!! I'm standing while I write this! Way to go Lisa!

Kara, I love her fashion sense. Actually, all the kids are sharp dressers this year. Kara didn't make it, but I love her clothes!

Camile, will the judges be right? They all loved her. I loved her. The fans agreed! She MADE IT! :) Yeah, Camile!!!!!

Unfortunately Simon didn't like Briana and the fans agreed. But, she can go home and say, “Hey, I made it that far and that's a HUGE accomplishment!”

Last two. Marisa and Matt. Matt and Marisa. Who's going to make it? WHO?! They're holding hands. I'm biting my nails. NOOOOOO! Commercial break! You know they do it every week, but for some reason I NEVER expect it! Arrrgghhhh....

Finally we're back. I can't wait to see that Simpsons with Simon in it. Is there anything funnier than Homer? Seriously!

Here we go...Matthew Rogers! Two girls and a guy. Wasn't that a TV show or something? I don't remember. Then... who's in? CAMILE! Good for her. She sang well. The judges liked her. Clearly she deserved it. I'm so proud. I almost feel like one of these kids' parents. Can you imagine? Camile can barely talk, but she fought through the tears and sang for us. Bless her. She's so excited she can barely stand. Heroes I tell you!

Ah man, Ryan did it to us again! I'm telling you, I never expect the commercial break!

Okay, down to the final two. Ryan tells us about next week's group. They all look great and I can't wait to watch again. But we have more pressing business to discuss...

MATTHEW ROGERS! The football player made it! HE MADE IT! I feel terrible for Lisa but she proved everyone wrong just by being here. So I applaud her just the same.

So that's it. I just want to thank Jaded for this opportunity. I think I really got the hang of it there at the end, and truly believe that the positive spin on all things Idol is a much more uplifting, and better way to write the column. I think Jaded may even learn from my example and possibly become, you know, a little less Jaded.

Well, we can always hope!! LOL!!!!!!
